Who's putting the "Smackdown" in 360?
When I had, dare to say the PS2, my two favorite games were the "Dynasty Warriors 3" and the infamous "Smackdown, Here Comes The Pain". Nothing beats hack-n-slash Kung Fu style and pile-drivers. To feel the rush again I was seriously looking at "Dead Rising" but after reading the preview of the new "SmacKdown vs. Raw" I might hold off and take a look at this. From what Gamespot is saying someone might have finally got it right with this one. From the stills they at least have the "rastler's" features and looks down to the tatoos and sweat. The "Smackdown" looks like it'll be a smacking good time.

Eh, I highly doubt it I will get it now, between buying the HD-DVD add-on for the 360 and buying the Wii/Zelda.
Plus, the last two I've bought, I played for about a week and never touched again.

I'm sure I'll be addicted to SvR2007 as soon as I pick it up. The wrestling fan/sim geek in me loves the GM mode and IGN said the online was lag free. Feel free to add me as well (knowing that I'll probably suck).

Anyone think they'll offer an updated roster as Live content? One of the criticisms in the review I read was that the rosters were already way outdated. Of course, they'll probably just do it on a per-wrestler basis...

Did anyone see the video on Youtube where Candace Michelle turns Kurt Angle into a little girl in the game with here magic wand. Youtube took it down due to copyright.

Yeah I'm all over this, my favorite game series. As well as one of the many reasons i opted for a 360 instead of a PS3 when it was canceled.

I liked the online 360 demo... I'm so glad they're using Smackdown instead of that Wrestlemania Xbox engine. Never understood why they had different publishers making games for the three different systems. Can't wait to see what the load times are this time for the PSP version.
I'd like a roster update, but I'd prefer a big update instead of microtransactions for individual wrestlers... maybe just a CAW update to include likenesses and moves. Though I haven't played with CAW mode in a while, I used to love that mode back when things weren't so detailed, and it was so much easier to make a CAW that kinda looked like the person you had in mind.

I picked mine up from gamecrazy this afternoon, I'm more excited about it than I thought I would be. Only a little bummed that it sounds like GM mode isn't shaping up to be that good.

I haven't used CAW so I am not sure of the load times there. The load times for everything else is minimal, even though there is alot of loading.
I love the game so far, it seems like they got alot of things right this time. I am crossing my fingers I don't run into the infinite submission bug. I was playing the demo and Triple H kept doing submission holds on me in the crowd area, and wouldn't stop. I think he did 30 in a row before I gave up and reset

I saw very little load issues with CAW. In fact a nice touch, when creating an entrance, in the background of the hud, it plays the entrance as you choose, rather than having to go to another screen and load.
Switching parts in CAW is very fast too.
Got about 3 hours of gameplay in. New control is nice, but hard for me to make the switch thus far.

Successfully exchanged Enchanted Arms (picked up during the TRU B2G1F deal) for this today. I'm excited, but that's been a bit tempered by reports that a lot of moves that were in previous versions have been left out.
At this stage of the Xbox 360's library, I wouldn't expect a version inferior to last gen (as was the case with the first Madden) but I am a little worried.

Anyone pick this up for PS2? I'm curious as to if the online is a better experience this year. The lobby system last year was annoying as hell. Took me at least five to ten minutes every time to find my friend. Hopefully they changed it.

For some reason the game isn't making me happy. There's nothing fundamentally wrong with it, except for a few missing match types from last years PS2. But it just lacks ooomph and excitement.

I keep repeating the same moves using the new control system. After 3 days, I still don't have the hang of it, I guess.
I liked the longer matches in 2006 too.
