Really enjoyed Russell Crowe interview on 60 Minutes last night

Not sure if this fits better under TV or Movies, but I thought the 60 Minutes interview with Crowe last night was very interesting. I don't agree 100% with Crowe's point, but it was a very interesting interview with someone who blames the media for his public image. The producers did a good job of editing, leaving in the parts that show Crowe's general distaste for the framing of interviews.

Russell's best comment during the interview (re: headbutting an actor):

"He f#$king deserved it!"

Crowe is like a breath of fresh air from the usual BS we get from Hollywood actors. I love how he trashed the American legal system as well...stating that if the phone throwing thing had happened in Australia, it would have been resolved with an apology and a handshake.

ya know, it would have been really helpful if someone had posted about this before the 60 Minutes show, I would have DV-R'd it ... oh well...

Sorry, it just kind of happened that I watched it in between football games...no planning ahead on my part.

Aw... poor rich actor who got in trouble for assaulting someone. Give me a break.

I'm not sure how the "rich" part factors in or matters ....

Haha. My brain somehow missed that connection as I was watching. If they made any jokes about that, they decided not to include it in the piece.

Russell was on the Today show yesterday being interviewed by Meredith Viera. She made a joke about him throwing a phone at her. It was so distasteful I wish Crowe had smashed her head in with an entire phone booth.
