PMed Simpsons S8 (Magie head) @ BB to Frys' ad & walked out paying $19.25 for it.

Wanted the head version since I have the other 2 already & Fry's only has Homer head one as part of the sale & stock. Clerk didn't even think twice about it - pointed out that ad said S1-S8 & he did the PM. With BBs' $42 price for S8, I got the extra $2.20+tax off the price - more than paid for tax.

Is this ad posted online anywhere? I missed the paper, wanted to see about getting a price match.

Orange County Ad with most DVDs (Pg7) .

OC Ad section for Fry's (focused on pg7).

Hope that helps. Of course, YMWV on pricing - Looney Tunes in Houston are shown for $29.99.

I'll finally pick up Vol 3. I overpaid for V1 & V2 when they were released. Now I've figured out that the prices drop in a year. Does anyone remember how much these ses were at Costco last year? Were they cheaper than this?

I think they were right around this price. $28.xx

I'm kicking myself for not picking up the last two sets of the Dick Van Dyke show for around the same price. They are going for double that online now.

Fry's is pretty uniform across the country, no? Isn't a sale in a Fry's in Dallas, the same as a sale in San Diego? Why do we need to differentiate between "DFW" and "SD"?

No - Fry's prices are regional. Some sale prices are the same between stores, but it isn't guaranteed.

I can confirm that. I've looked for many a sale dvd advertised elsewhere that I read about here and didn't find them in the San Diego store. I just check the ad in the Friday paper to see what it actually on sale.

Yup, it's $49.99 at Best Buy. They needed a manager's override key to PM it.

Not likely. But it's worth a shot i guess.

Their price match guidelines say something about the other store having to be in the same "market" or something.
