But still, COPS in HD is cool.

Last time I checked, it's not in HD. It's in 480p widescreen, but it is *not* high-def. I can't imagine the show going to HD anytime soon, despite the relatively low cost of HD cameras now... They are still too expensive for a show as risky as that for cameras. But the 480p definitely looks better, and you can never complain about something being widescreen. It's been in 480p 16:9 for at least a year and a half, maybe two years now.

yeah i used "HD" but I had a feeling it was something like that. I haven't seen new eps in a long time so when I saw one on Saturday I was shocked that it was at least in Widescreen.

I didn't even know COPS was still on. Every time I see it on TV I just assume I'm watching a rerun from the 90's.

Yeah I get it in HD on Fox, Sat nights. Definetly not just 480p here. Great for those hot hookers, bad for those ugly hookers...

Same here. I'm usually asleep Saturday evenings because I work. So I'm usually catching old eps from 90's in Broward County on other days. That's why I didn't know it was in a different format.

In other Widescreen hi res news....the show "GIRLFRIENDS" on the CW network is also WS(HD?) now.
