Over the Hedge Blockbuster Exclusive

Has anyone seen the tin that Blockbuster is offering when you buy the movie?

It's nothing out of this world, but it's still pretty cool looking.

It's the size of the Edward Scissorhands tin. Same cover art as the DVD, but with an orange border. Over the Hedge is marked for $21.99, but it rang up at $19.99

That's one of my favorite animated movies ever. I may need to swing by a Blockbuster to get this.

Nacho Libre comes with a talking pen, that's actually pretty nice! (Only at Blockbuster, of course)

That's pretty neat. I noticed at Target today that for $22.99 you get this and the cd and it comes with a nice, shiny slipcover.

It's in the same case, or is the CD packaged separate (like Curious George)?

I'm pretty sure it's a two disc armary case, as it is regular size inside a slicover without any hint of a separate sleeve or case.

Actually, it's more likely that the Amaray case is identical to the regular version (i.e., single Amaray case), and the CD is in some kind of sleeve or paper envelope inside the case. I could be wrong, but that's often how those releases are done (i.e. they rarely use a 2-disc case for a single-disc release just to accomodate a bonus disc).

Very possible. It did feel like it had that swing hinge inside by of course that's speculative. The slipcover does have slightly different artwork, as does the dvd so maybe Dreamworks did it in a two disc case.

I'm a little disappointed that the dvd itself doesnt have any artwork.

Actually, the DVD cover itself is identical to the standard release, but yes, the slipcover has different art. It's possible that they used a 2-disc Amaray case, but not likely. The extra weight you feel is probably just the second disc. I'm happy to be proven wrong, so let's hear from anyone who's purchased this. Anyone?

I didn't make fun of you! That was the other guy.

Anyhow, maybe you had a funnier delivery.

I may have to run out to the Blockbuster across the street and get one of these. They look nice.
