Do any of the MSP's albums have their cover of Suede's "The Drowners"? Also, for a fan of Suede like myself, are any of the MSP's close to that feel or sound?

I'm sure I'll just order it from the UK. I like this album too much to wait for a US release, that is, if there ever is one.

Oh that's gorgeous, I love it.

as far as sounding like suede, depends on which suede really, the early harded suede of nude and dog man star are not near as edgy as MSP, but the later MSP everything must go, and more so if you tolerate this, are as produced and polished as some of the later suede.

Vocally the lead singers are very different though.
neither richie or jdb are anything like brett from suede.

Have you all heard the james dean bradfield cd?

I actually like all of the Suede records, but am partial to their debut. What MSP album would you recommend for a first timer?

Everything Must Go is probably the best album introduction to the band, although at this point you might as well go with the singles collection.

I think Know Your Enemy is probably closest to the debut.
but as wenders said above the singles collection might be a good start.

and if you found it cheap I'd urge you to pick up lipstick traces.
It's their version of the sci-fi lullabies.

I'm in the severe minority...I think "This Is My Truth Now Tell Me Yours" is there best album. But this reissue is definitley worth the cash.

The first five songs on TIMTTMY are awesome, but it's kinda downhill from there.

I agree with you friend. I like all of their albums, but think this is their best.

I ordered mine from amazon.uk, and go it within a week of ordering it, not to mention, at almost half the price of what they're charging on amazon's domestic site. As far as the solo album - it's pretty good - a lot more popy than Manics, but with a similar sound (obviously), and lots of catchy tunes.

which is an amazing album (from Suede) given the songs are all B-sides.

I picked up the singles collection, couldn't make it past the first six songs before I gave up on it. Just didn't like the vibe or the lead singer. Thanks for the input guys.
