How I Met Your Mother - 10/09/06

cbs.com
Ted Mosby, Architect
When Barney tries to prove to Ted that his job as an architect is anything but boring by showing him that it is a great way to pick up women, a jealous Robin tracks down her man after hearing of his antics.
Any episode with Barney on the hunt should be great. And quotable!

Pretty good episode.

Loved Barney and Marshall's faces when Ted told them what Robin said about "Field of Dreams."

"Dear Resident"

Crap - I hope this episode really sucked, because they didn't show it here. I was hoping they might have just delayed it until 8:30 but; no. Stupid cable company didn't change over to the US station and aired a 'Corner Gas' (from CTV) instead.

Remember back in the good old days when people at the cable companies actually paid attention to what they were airing?

Barney was underutilized, but when he was on screen, he was gold.

Not sure if anyone reads Frank Cho's Liberty Meadows, but Robin (Cobie Smulders) looks just like Brandy (only without the super-amazing rack).

This was a great episode. Nice twist, although it was predictable. The letter at the end was great.

I can't say I'm surprised Robin doesn't like Field of Dreams. Field of Dreams is like Beaches for dudes.

Thank god someone else expressed hate for Field of Dreams. I think that is one of the most overrated movies I've ever seen. So boring. Anyway, I thought it was a pretty good ep, doesn't surprise me that Barney would take Ted's name and run with it. The ending with the letter was pretty good. "Who's Barney?"
