Count me in. One of the few shows I plan to watch regularly this season.

I wish I had not watched this. Horrible. My pen0r nearly fell off during the prego dance scene.

I like all the characters and hate nearly all of the writing.

Nice car crash. Mmmm Amanda Detmer. But even they couldn't save this estrogen fest.

I am out

Besides the strippers, this return of a show that didn't need to return is a puzzling one (I know JJ Abrams is ABC's golden child, and they don't want to piss him off, blah blah blah).

Call me strange but I enjoyed it. I still find the struggling married couple the most interesting characters but still enjoyed the other storylines. But I don't watch much TV so what do I know.

Other than the Rosanna Arquette storyline, I really like this show. I watched last season and plan to watch as long as it's on air...however, with the ratings, I'm not thinking that will be too long

I watched this show last season but realized I hated it when they were only like 2 episodes left of the short first season. I told myself I would finish it and be done with it.

I'm not sure why, but I decided to give it another chance this season. I instantly remembered how much I hated this show. It's weird, on paper, it sounds like something I would like but I watch it and I just hate all the characters and I find it really dull and depressing for what should be a nice, light show.

I still am not sure why it was renewed. But I won't watch it again. Fool me once...

A fortune teller?
A strip club?
Who the fuck writes this shit?

I have a very similar social environment to the people in this show, but I hate every single one of these fucking people and their pathetic situations. It's like it was written and created by some loser with no friends, not understanding a damn thing about having a close circle of friends, trying to get across what it would be like if he did. Love Monkey wasn't too good, but it was a hell of a lot better than this crap.

I was just reading the numbers for last night and "What About Brian" pulled a 5.7/9 which beat NBC's STUDIO 60 (5.3/9), and also beat out FOX and CW's nightly ratings... this is a good sign!

That is good ratings news...not for Studio 60 though... I really like "Brian" but I would trade it in a heartbeat for Studio 60. We'll have to see if it can pull in those numbers again next week, because I think a lot of people who don't like it much were really curious to see if Marjorie and Adam were actually going to get married....

Can anyone identify Brian's neighbor who he borrows the car from in last night's episode? I know I've seen him somewhere before, this is starting to bug me.

Yeah, I recognized the neighbor too but can't seem to place where I have seen him.

Very surprised regarding the ratings but not too surprised it beat Studio 60 which is highly overrated critically praised crapola.

Not that What About Brian is the greatest quality show but I find it far more interesting than Studio 60 which is dullsville...all bark and no bite.

I dunno, this 2nd episode was just too emo for me. It's painful to watch this show at times because none of the character are likeable or interesting.

The neighbor (missing his lobsters) was on "Andy Richter Rules the Universe" and "Summerland", among other numerous guest appearances.

^^^ Yep, I remember him from Andy Richter. He's named Jonathan Slavin.

I can't believe how much bad stuff happens to Brian, his married bud, and his sister in one episode.

Yeah that was a pretty depressing episode. So far this season every character has pretty much had their lives turned upside down.

How many episodes are they scheduled for now with the additional 6 episodes?

Harsh episode. I figured something was going to happen to Angelo since he hasn't been shown the entire 2nd season. Did the actor demand more money or soemething?

I kinda always thought he was the least interesting character anyway. Maybe the writers actually thought this as well?

I'm glad it's trucking along. It is one of the only current TV shows I am paying attention to and I get my soapy drama fix from it. With Prison Break, South Park, and Gene Simmon's Family Jewels, I think I have all the bases covered. Now back to my Buffy/Angel rentals.

From Eonline's Kristin

First, the good news. Reliable sources tell me ABC has picked up What About Brian's back nine episodes, which means we get a full season with Barry Watson, Amanda Detmer and Matthew Davis. Yay!

I am shocked! I really really love this show and all that, but in all honestly I was not expecting the show to last past December, let alone get the back 9 ordered! WOOT!
