ok, i wanted to post these last week, but ive been having some computer problems..

a few people i talked to seemed confused about the 'bad karma' feature,
so if it hasnt been said already.. its not 'exclusive' to any store,
just 'exclusive to dvd', meaning it hasnt aired on tv..
all versions will have it, since its part of the dvd set..

& this should probably be noted..

ok so lets get started with the best buy version..

....

the flanel packaging is a similar concept to the parka packaging
on the 1st 2 northern exposure sets, except its thinner, doesnt close up,
(so its more like a golf sock, as it just slips over the regular set)
& then it goes into an outer box with a window, as you can see from the pics..

the regular case is around 3/4" & the flanel packaging with outer box is 1"..
the promo cd in mine was behind the flanel inside the outer box,
the cd label is different from the ad, & similar enough to the target promo dvd,
that for a moment i thought there was another mix up like with prison break..

it cant be a label misprint though, if you look closely youll notice
one says dvd, & the other doesnt.. presumably, they needed to replace the label,
& it was just easier to reuse the target label..? but now i dont have any track info..

so its a 3 track sampler of the 'my name is earl album',
i tried comparing the songs to audio samples on amazon to tell the songs/artists..

amazon doesnt list who did the earl theme song,
ive always assumed it was butthole surfers, but what do i know..

theres 3 chapters, the 1st 2 are anamorphic, the last is 4:3..
1. table reading (6:55)
2. great race (3:46)
3. bloopers (21:33)
total (32:14)

the table reading has some periodic naration from the producer,
while he drives around wearing a cowboy hat..

the great race clips are behind the scenes clips
of the race sequence, set to instrumental music..

& the bloopers have some small commentary clips
from the cast, between bloopers..

but dont forget about the $5 giftcard!
last week tmx elmo came out, & to promote it target had/has elmo giftcards,
which has an audio chip thats surprisingly loud, & gigles same as the toy..

it seems pointless to point it out now though,
after the sale is over & all, but whatever heres my pics anyway..
& if you want one just for fun, you can always buy a giftcard,
im sure theyll let you keep it if you want, after its been spent later..

I just picked up the Targét set while I was grocery shopping.. I'm not into silly packaging and with the gift card, it was only $30 (which is what Fry's had it for and where I was going to pick it up). I haven't watched the bonus DVD but honestly I was just going after the best price, so it was simply a nice plus for me to get the extra DVD.
