This 10-week season starting September 12th sees 11 couples taking to the floor on the first show and one will be knocked out that very first week! There'll be more dancing, more well loved classic tunes and even more rhinestones. Our professional dance judges, Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba, return to cast their votes and opinions, and the show will be hosted by Tom Bergeron and Samantha Harris.

Not sure how I feel about this years line-up, except that I probably would have said the same thing about last years, and I enjoyed that show a lot! Mario Lopez is my early favorite...

I really hope he can dance, I want Ashlee to stick around for awhile.

ooohhh, I thought Harry Hamlin was awful! I was so disappointed! But Tucker has got to go...the judge calling out Tucker looking like he was on the toilet was hysterical!

Mario!! Wow, he was fantastic! And Vivica Fox was awesome too...all in all I think it is going to be a great season...and I think Cheryl Burke is the best choreographer...after what she did with Drew last year, and seeing Emmitts dance this year...she is unbelievable!

So, a latin hunk who while perhaps never having actual dance lessons, has shown he is no slouch on the dancefloor (SBTB) is a favorite over a conservative talk show host, a football player, and others?!? Shocking!

Had a good time with most of the contestants.


Harry was simply dreadful.

Mario might have some problems with the slower (non-hip-shaking dances).

Joey sort of disappointed me, seemed more of a poser than a dancer.

Emmet surprised me with his ease of movement and has a great partner. He's much more fluid than Jerry Rice. Will have to see if he can bring the hip action.

Jerry was cracking me up with the comments (drawing the short straw, etc).

Tucker is this season's Kenny Mayne, but had a good time with it.

Willa was good. I suspect she'll go far amongst the women stars.

Shanna wasn't too graceful.

Vivica is suited for this dance, we'll see if she can keep up in the latin dances.

Sara is going to have a tough time with the latin dances too.

Monique is okay, has a good partner.

Yeah, I would like to call him out on that one. I remember watching a few SBTB and he always danced pretty darn good on them. Threw in a few pirouettes along the way. I remember watching that and thinking, "wow, he must of had some dance lessons". No more an advantage I suppose than being a roller skating champion, I suppose.

Well, it was no surprise about Tucker Carlson. When he came out I told my mom, "There's no way this guy can dance."

I was surprised at Harry Hamlin. Thought he would be much better.

Also surprised at Shanna. I expected that being a roller skating champion would translate well into the dance world...guess not. Not to mention, she looked heavy and that dress she wore was horrible.

I can't stand Vivica and was secretly hoping she would fall...but she didn't, she did pretty well.

Really surprised at Emmet, very nice; and Jerry he actually wasn't the worst of the night, he might make it to the next episode.

I totally agree. Every single dance/routine that she and Drew did last season was technically more difficult than any of the others. If he goes far, it's because of her.

I thought the same thing! I thought Cheryl would be the one struggling (Tucker/Springer are a given to go) with Emmitt. Heavy on his feet, stiff and all that. And that Harry Hamlin would be suave and classy, but who knew it would be the exact opposite! He has the heart, but he really looked bad. Who did she have the first year?

I too felt the same way. I wanted Ashly to go far, but it most likely will not happen. I'm incredibly surprised by Hamlin's horrible performance. Ashly and Mario, now that would have been a pairing!

After So You Think You Can Dance, the dancing here seems almost dreadful in comparison but it still managed to be fun. Fewer real standouts than last season's premiere. I'm in love with Eastern European dancers. Edyta and Karina (Mario's partner) were so sexy last night. I'm just sad Anna Trebunskaya isn't back.

There were a lot of really bad dancers last night, especially among the men...

Harry Hamlin had the worst facial expression the whole time. He had this "caveman trying to figure out an iPod" look on his face. At least he understood on his own in the pre-dance segment that there were issues, so maybe he'll be able to fix them.

Poor Jerry Springer looked completely confused, I couldn't even tell what was supposed to be happening during that. It was arguably worse than Master P last year because I think the chereographer tried for too much, where at least Ashley knew not to get too fancy with P. He has absolutely no confidence, meaning he doesn't have much of a chance to get better. His Aussie partner is adorable, though.

Tucker had the most remedial basic routine. It was as if he learned the moves five minutes earlier.

Joey shone compared to those guys, but was still a disappointment. He should've been a bit better.

Emmitt was a surprise. He actually looks more natural, less rehearsed than Jerry did last year. I alwys felt that

Mario is the clear leading contender among the guys.

The girls were all sort of blah to me, but I usually find the ballroom stuff to be a bit bland compared to the Latin stuff.

Mario is a sweater, it was just pouring off his face (unlike a lot of other dancers).

Tucker's dance partner reminds me of Ashley Judd.
