Rushmore? I don't think I know anyone else in life that has seen that movie besides me.

Where is that football movie from the mid ninties? Where the chick puts whip cream on her good stuff and Dawson tell's his dad "I don't want your life!" I can't remember the name of it. When I was in high school that was everyones favorite movie.

Two things:

1) Sixteen Candles should at least be in the top ten IMO.

2) I've never heard of Boyz N The Hood referred to as a high school movie before.

You're kidding right?

Boyz N the Hood and Harry Potter are curious entries but all in all, not a bad list.

Can't Hardly Wait is one of the worst movies of all time. I think any one of us could write something 10 times better then that waste of celluloid. I've seen better film on teeth.

I too would move Sixteen Candles up a few decades. At least top 20 and certainly not second to the last.

Poor Tom. Risky Business probably would have landed in the top 10 had this list been made 5 years ago.

And no License To Drive.

Placing Sixteen Candles #49 instead of in the top 3 makes this list a fucking joke.

What was the criteria about this list? The characters had to be in high school? It had to appeal to high school kids?

Overall, that is a decent list, but no Teen Wolf, Starship Troopers, or Buffy the Vampire Slayer?

If you like similar movies to this list, check out Cheats (2002). It may not be top 50 worthy, but I thought it was really funny, and no one seems to have seen it.

Starship Troopers? I think I can understand why they didn't choose that one. Sure there's school scenes but come on.

God, you can say that again! Like most "lists", this is bullshit too. And I agree with others who thought "Three O'Clock High" should be on there.

Still reeling that "Sixteen Candles" was at the bottom of this list.

They should do an International top 50. Wonder how many Japanese movies would make the list!

When I first saw the list, I went looking for Sixteen Candles. I'm glad I'm wasn't the only one disturbed at how low it listed.

Still don't know how "Better Of Dead," a seminal teen movie is nowhere to be found. But "Get Real" is?

My guess: by about #45 they were starting to run out of high school movies, period.

I mean when I think of great high school movies, I could probably only come up wit about 10.

What's the point of making a list if it includes virtually every movie you could think of in that category?

What next, the 'top 50 War of 1812' movies?
