Best DVD of July 2006

What did you think was the best DVD of July 2006?

Not only the best film released on DVD, but the best overall presentation... film, video, audio, extras, etc.

If I have missed your choice in the poll list, please post below.

BTW - this was as terrible month for DVD releases

Yeah, it was pretty crappy. One of my lowest monthly DVD purchase counts ever. I'm going with Final Destination 3.

There truly should be a choice after Other for Nothing. This was by far the worst month I've seen since getting into dvd. After checking my dvdspot dates I found I bought one disc & it was an old catalog dvd. I hereby abstain from voting for July. Bleh!

I enjoyed all of the HALLOWEEN entires, but AMAZING STORIES: The Complete First Season owns the month. I never imagined a day when I could actually own a beautiful, digital copy of Steven Spielberg's "The Mission"...

July was really subpar for me and I really only bought Chappelle's Show so that gets my vote!

Hold on, hold on! July was subpar?
Final Destination 3?
Film Noir 3?
Warner Tough Guys?
Amazing Stories?
I thought it was pretty good month - I'd have to go with Final Destination 3 because of it's fun quotient and the "Choose your Fate" option.

Yeah, a pretty lousy month...

A Canterbury Tale: Criterion Collection
Dr. Mabuse, the Gambler: Restored Authorized Edition
Film Noir Classic Collection, Vol. 3
Grand Prix: Two-Disc Special Edition
Warner Bros. Tough Guy Collection
Will Rogers Collection, Volume 1

and my vote:

The Black Swan: Fox Studio Classics

...I guess there were no Jean-Claude Van Damme DVD releases for the true connoisseurs!

A Canterbury Tale gets my vote - a great, great movie given a wonderful 2-disc dvd from criterion.

I love that movie. I may eventually upgrade from my HMV set for the extras. Same with 49th Parallel.
