Will they ever lower the price on Gilmore Girls?

My wife is a big fan of the show and I really want to buy her the DVD box sets but I refuse to pay $50 a pop for each season.

The show is still going strong so I'm not sure I want to wait for a all encompassing box set with every season in it.

Will these puppies drop anytime soon?

Target, Costco, Amazon, Best Buy and other stores run weekly sales where the sets are $20 a season - so you might want to keep an eye out. I think (im 100% sure) that Target has seasons 3-5 right now for $20, and probably next month around 9/19 when season 6 comes out Best Buy will probably have another sale on the previous seasons...

But as some advice that I gave a friend the other day... considering the series is going into season 7 there is probably only another year or two left in the series (I hate to say that, and hopefully it will last for another 10 years, but being realisitc it will probably end after next season), if you havn't bought any of the seasons you might want to wait until the complete series box that Warner Brother's would be a fool not to release after the show wraps...

The sets constantly go back and forth in price. I've seen them on sale at Target multiple times, and if I remember correctly, a few of them are on sale right now. Could be $18.99. Don't hold me to that, but if it's not true now, it will eventually. And I'd say soon.

You must not be looking hard enough for sale prices. Bought seasons 1-5 a few months ago for about $20 each. Right now they are on sale at BB, Target, pretty much everywhere. Plus there is always ebay or amazon marketplace where you can pick up used copies for cheap.

I got Season 4 and 5 from Gimore Girls for 17.88 at Best Buy with price match.
Glad that Target is going to put Gilmore Girls Season 3 for 18.99.

When Gilmore Girls Season Six comes out the special will probably say buy Season 6 and any other season and save $20 or something along that line.

No, I don't see Gilmore Girls Season Sets to get lower then $18.99 even on Black Friday.

Other shows that lower prices are Charmed, The O.C. Nip/Tuck and Dawson's Creek (which I wanted to get but don't have enough $$$)

You might want to try the Columbia House route. They have seasons 1 & 2 as enrollments and then you can just buy season 3 to fulfill. This is how I got seasons 1-3 for around $50 total. It's been 6 or 8 months so I don't know if the deals are still the same, but I see from this thread that the first two seasons are still available for enrollment.

I saw Gilmore Girls season 3, 4, and 5 for $18.99 at Circuit City. The OC Seasons 1 and 2 were also at that price.

Just saw S4 and S5 at Costco for $17.99 each today at the Puyallup WA location. Best Buy also seems to be having the same seasons at $19.99 each. Good luck!
