In the past, it's usually been Best Buy and Circuit City with the big Labor Day weekend sales -- maybe even some 2-days specials. *anxiously awaiting*

Thanks for the Target ad speedy!

Thanks Speedy!

One down, three to go on the Lost bonus disc front. If CC/BB/WM don't come through with a bonus, Target's GC offer is looking pretty good.

Already decided on Best Buy for Supernatural, though. I'm a sucker for bonus discs, what can I say?

Damn, I'm sure Best Buy will have a bonus disc for Lost and they won't pricematch a gift card. Oh well, I just want the set already.

Thanks for the early prices, as always.

$42.99? Could be better, could be worse. BB had the best price for the last season, so we'll see.

No prob, I just got the impression that it would be a bigger release. The Oz prices are still too high...seasons 1-3 at least should be $20 in my opinion. Season 4 can be a little higher, since it's a double season.

What the hell does "extended experience" mean? And how are Gift Cards in limited quantities? They have thousands of them littered through the stores.

All of those ABC shows have some gimmick naming with it lately. Like Desperate Housewives "Extra Juicy Edition Edition" or some crap like that. None of the actual episodes are extended or anything, though I wish they were.

The "extended..." is written on the bottom of the package. My guess is that they're really trying to push the special features. To a ridiculous degree.

As for the limited quantites: ass covering baby!

With Desperate Housewives, some episodes were extended on season 1's release, so maybe there is something to their naming scheme.

Supposedly there are some features on there that will take us "further" into what season 2 established. I'm looking forward to the featurettes about the hatch as well as the episode commentaries. I think season 2 was as good as season 1 it just played on a very different playing field.

From Amazon:

I'll highlight the Extended Experience

DVD Features:
Available Subtitles: English
Available Audio Tracks: English (Dolby Digital 5.1), English (Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo)
Episodes from the 2005-2006 season on 7 discs
Exclusive unaired flashbacks
LOST connections: interactive experience that plants seeds for season three
Conspiracy theories with creators, writers, fans
Fire and Water: Anatomy of an Episode
Secrets Of The Hatch
Deleted Scenes
Bloopers
===========================================================

That's what believe the Extended Experience is comprised of. Some may add the conspiracy theories portion as well.

Your point about the wording leads me to believe that their in store stock has a fixed quantity and that if they run out, they may not give out gift cards even IF they get a reshipment in time.
