Further Details:
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced the Academy Award nominated animated short official package artwork The Snowman and the family favourite Father Christmas - both of which are based on the popular books by Raymond Briggs. Each will be available to own from the 24th October, and should retail at around $9.95 a pop. Both will receive a 1.33:1 full frame transfer, along with English and French Stereo tracks. As far as we know, no extra material will be included on either. We've attached the below:

I have these on a double feature disc already...but they are great animated movies..

Thanks for the ehads up on this. 'The Snowman' was always my favorite as a kid and I'll be sure to pick this up soon.

FYI I checked out DDD and they have the double feature available for $9.49. It's added to the wish list for that time fo the year

Have the double-feature disc myself; really enjoy both. For this new release, I wonder if they'll use the American dub version this time for Father Christmas, or the original Brit track with Mel Smith (which I have never heard, but it's supposed to be a little "saucier" than the U.S. one ...).

I've always loved The Snowman as a child. A classic I always watch it at Xmas to get me in the mood.
The ending is very sad

As for Father Christmas, I'm only familliar with the original English track (with Mel Smith doing the voice of Father Christmas).
