Desperate Housewives Season 2 Bonus Discs, etc?

Does anyone know if Housewives Season 2 will come with any bonus items (discs, etc.) anywhere? The early ad postings do not indicate this, but have heard that Wal-Mart may possibly have a bonus disc with additional features.

Any others?

It has additional deleted scenes as well as 'extra episodes' (the two 'catchup specials')

Assuming that other places don't have this disk and assuming you really want the series, buy it at Wal-Mart to get the disk (price match if there are cheaper places), then watch the bonus DVD and then sell it on ebay. I sold the Best Buy LOST bonus disk for $15 after fees last year.

I have to weigh my desire for the bonus disk with Target's price of $35.99 plus a $5 gift card. That nets out to $31 (plus taxes). If WM is $39.99 or so that makes the bonus disc fairly expensive. I guess I will have to drive to WM Tuesday morning and check out their price then either buy or go on to Target.

Don't forget the money spent on gas unless the 2 stores are near each other.
I really wish all the bonus material were available everywhere as it is in Europe and you could just go to the store or buy online for the cheapest price
without having to miss something.

Yes Walmart price matches. But they won't give you the $5 gift card.

They might not because of the exclusive bonus disk though.

Yes, Wal-Mart is very fond of charging extra for their bonus discs. They usually have versions with and without the bonus disc, so they would probably only pricematch the one without.

I went to WM today and found a shelf price of $47.84 for S2 with the bonus disc. I asked a sales clerk if that was the price they were selling the set for and she told me that was the price. I said to myself, thanks but no thanks. I then went down the freeway to Target and got S2 for $35.99 with the $5 GC. The sales tax was charged on $30.99 so I saved a few cents more.

Does WM really think the bonus disc is worth almost $17?

Odd. I picked up season two with bonus disc at my Wal-Mart (Colton, California) for $38.68 (tax included).

Important bit of info for those who want the extra DVD.

Please check the boxes (the disc is packed on the rear), see if the disc has fallen out of the cardboard sleeve. The factory or whatever didn't seal the sleeve, it's open and the DVD can slip out.

My store had nineteen copies. Of those only TWO had the disc still inside. The rest were halfway out. One was completely out. I can only guess that those DVDs are scuffed as hell and or scratched up. My copy has a couple of mirco scratches. I'm glad I examined.

Holy crap, TheVelvetRope. I have not encoutered that. The prices are the same with or without at mine.

People who bought at Target are reporting that they got the bonus disc, the perfume sample *and* a $5 gift card. That sounds like the best deal there is.

I would edit the above post, but for some reason, the edit button is not appearing anywhere. People talking about their "bonus discs" from Target apparently were just referring to Disc 6. Which is not a bonus disc at all.

But the bonus disc itself doesn't sound very interesting. Can anyone who has the bonus disc give a bit more information? How many deleted scenes are there, are there commentaries on the extra deleted scenes like there are in the deleted scenes in disc 6, and what is that extra feature with James Denton?

Thanks for any information!

The Bonus Disc:

- A catch-up episode on the second season (like the one they had at Target for Season 1)
- Three deleted scenes (onve involving Gabrielle on the nude photos, the second involving Noah and Sullivan, and the last involving Felicia and Noah.
- A seven-minute featurette by James Denton on how they do stuff around the set.

If you PM the price, it's worth it.

Guess I got lucky, but WM PM'ed Target's price with the $5 GC. So, $31 plus tax out the door

I wanted to get the walmart seperate disc but the price at my local Nebraska Furniture Mart was too good to pass up (which I found out was a price error that they fixed today). My copy came to 17.88. My walmart wouldn't price match it cause the advertisement said Best Price Guarenteed instead of an actual price.

Just a heads up about WM. All 6 WMs in my area put the set out at $47.84, but yesterday they were all in the $30 range with the cheapest being $32.84. I was told that their prices from HQ were late in being updated for some reason.

That's really strange. I bought Desperate Housewives S2 at Walmart in Bellingham, WA on Wednesday for only $26.99! I wonder why it's so expensive at other stores.

Did anyone get the set at Best Buy? I'm curious if they have a $5 coupon for Lost like they did last year. Thanks.

It was actually the other way around. Last year Lost s1 came out before DH s1 and Best Buy had the $5 off coupon for DH inside of Lost.

Nothing like that this year though.

Yes, Lost came out before Desperate Housewives, last year. However, I remember the coupon being $10.00 off, not $5.00 off.
