Sorry for the newbie question but is there a time of the year that DDD usually runs their 20% off sale?

I'll answer your question before everyone piles on-end of November-beginning of December and the middle of June.

Is there a code? Or does it automatically deduct?

Meh. Their prices suck to begin with, and the discount only puts them back in the ballpark. I price-compared three TV season titles with prices at Amazon, and Amazon beat all three of DVD Empire's prices even after the 10% discount.

I don't think that there's a code. I think that the price listed reflects the 10% discount. There's a DVD that I was thinking about getting from them last week for $15.xx and it's now $13.xx.

Looks everything is on SALE including PRE-ORDERS. I had ordered The Twilight Zone Defenitive Collection release date 10/3 and used a 10.00 off coupon about 10 days ago and it was $185.29 with postage. Today its $170.68 and with postage $176.33! DDD is the next closest at $ 199.49. I guess waiting for DDD 20% off codes would have it at about 161.00 or so from DDD if you wanted to wait and the price does not change etc.

Yeah, preorder prices are much better than the items that are in stock. Voltron Volume 1 and 2 are 22 dollars and some change.

Doesn't look like Spirit of the Beehive preorder is included.

Looks they have taken pre-orders off the sale as the Twilight Zone Definitive Collection is now back 189.**.

I already cancelled my previous order with them. I guess if they cancel todays order I will just wait for DDD 20% off codes in November to get it.

I know that DVD Empire's prices generally suck, and that this 10% off isn't as good as it would initially seem. However, I was looking to pick up Female Prisoner #701 Scorpion: Beast Stable and Female Prisoner #701 Scorpion: Grudge Song and they had the cheapest price with this sale.

Factor in free shipping on three items or more and a generally lickity-split shipping time to my door (YMMV nach), and it seemed like a good deal to me. As with most things in life, its what you make of it.

Can't get too worked up about a 10% discount...sorry. Some body's got a coupon for that nearly every day.
