Best place for Epson ink cartridges?
I was wondering if anyone knew where (B&M or on-line) the best place was to get ink cartridges for an Epson printer, specifically a Photo Stylus 820.
Thanx.

I bought generic (G&G labeled) ink for my Epson E200 from http://www.qtccdr.com (But in their B&M store) and it worked fine. (Mine was $3.00 a cart I think)
Cheap ink is great!

I always purchase my ink from 123inkjets.com
You can usually find a 20% off coupon and a free shipping coupon for them also.

I live in CHattanooga, TN which is a small town and we have 3 places:
1. Cartridge City
2. Cartridge World(not to be confused with Cartridge City....tee hee) - don't go there
3. Caboodle
Cartidge City was the best but they did not have my printer which was a Epson 740i stylus. Their prices were the best by far also. It was $5.95 for a new cartridge with ink. They don't refill their as it costs them more to do that.
Caboodle(sp?) was where I finally found one. It was $12.99 but I was in a pinch. Popped it in and it works like a charm. Much better than Cartridge World.

Try tylermartin1 at ebay.
I buy all of my Canon ink from them.
They have been selling ink for over 16 years, they know what they're doing.

I get ink for my Epson R200 from supermediastore.com.
http://www.supermediastore.com/epson...comp-12pk.html
I've got some from http://www.abacus24-7.com/ sitting on the shelf also. It will go in once the current supply from supermediastore runs out. I've had no problems with abacus24-7 with my roommate's HP Deskjet.
The only other concern I have besides print quality is cartridge size. No one lists the volume on their sites so it makes it hard to accurately compare prices. IIRC, the abacus24-7 is 14 mL but the supermediastore ink I get is less... I think. I'll need to check once I get back to my apartment.

Either way, it's still a hell of a deal. $31 shipped for 12 carts. If only I didn't go through so much black printing my covers.

How does Generic Ink compare to authentic ink? I usually get my ink at CostCo for my R300. Just curious how the generic would look when printing CD/DVD labels.

Have you thought about getting one of those continuous ink systems off ebay? I just ordered one for my epson r300 this weekend. They hook the ink cartriges up to these big external jars of ink, which are easily refillable. I think they hold 10x the amount of ink as a regular ink cartrigde.

The best place to buy Epson cartridges is MegaToners.com.
For the Epson Stylus Photo 820:
Black Cartridge: $1.60
Color Cartridge: $1.99
Direct Link

How's the print quality?
Also, the direct link works but the 'Megatoners.com' link on the first line takes you to 'Megatoner.com' which is some sort of search engine site. Just to let you know...

Expanding on the eBay idea, just put your printer model # and search, and then compare cost/cartridge. I just bought 12 cartridges for the Brother® MFC-5440cn for $26.99 ($2.50 each, Megatoners wanted $3.25 each).
Edit: As soon as I bought them I found some for $1.71 each... $9.48 cheaper... sigh

I've been using Megatoners.com for years. I've also turned several friends and family to them. I've never noticed any quality difference with the non-Epson brand cartridges.
BTW - Fixed link in my first reply

The megatoners.com rating at resellerratings.com never impressed me ... other posts at other sites also chased me away from considering them.
http://www.resellerratings.com/seller2661.html
The eBay seller tylermartin1 has a 99.9% feedback rating from over 45,000 different buyers .... that's a lot better than the 3.93 out of 10 for megatoners.com

Anyone ever use ABCink.com? They always seem to have great deals on Epson Ink. Although, not sure how the quality would be if I print on CD/DVD's with a R300.

For me personally, the price of each cartridge is not the only driving factor. Since I'm looking to print on inkjet printable CDs/DVDs and photo paper, I want to ensure quality too. I've bought ink before, especially black, that never seemed to dry. It would always smudge months later on both the photo paper and the DVDs. I have not run into that with the ink I recently bought from supermediastore.com.
Just my 2 cents...

Just an FYI....every time I have used off brand ink my printer heads get clogged after a while. You can always buy the head cleaning solution on eBay for $2.99 (if I remember correctly) and this will fix the problem.
