After Today's Visit, Costco remains worthless

The Jayne Mansfield box. For $28. That was basically it as far as new boxes. And a huge DVD endcap/kiosk was now replaced by, um, Costco junk. Like, barbecue grills or something. The new single releases were all priced higher than Circuit City. The one relatively bright spot was the 2-disc V FOR VENDETTA for $21, but I picked it up elsewhere last week.

Costco is looking grimmer and grimmer...

My Costco is basically out of the DVD business too. Three entire ailes of fakes plastic and sawdust furniture but they cant even stock a few DVD's!

Thats a shame. I haven't been to mine in a while but they used to be great for box sets.

I posted this over on DVD Bargains, but my local Costco has Buffy and Angel season sets for $24.99 each. Since my wife and I have become new Buffy fans, I got the Angel seasons, despite suspecting that six months from now "ANGEL: The Ultimate Collection" will probably come out. Hmph.
