Cheapest place to buy school books?
Need your help!!!
I'm trying to lessen the burden of spending $500+ on high school books this year. If anyone knows of a place where I can find them at a "reasonable" price, please be kind and let me know.
Thanks much in advance.

I bought many of mine from private sellers at half.com.
Whoa, and yeah, I just caught that--high school? Since when do people pay for high school textbooks? Am I getting old?

Anyway, half.com and ther amazon marketplace would be good places to check first. Then local second hand book stores.

I use www.bestbookbuys.com to find the best price among several websites. I end up buying international versions most of the time, they are identical in content, but usually have a soft cover, cheaper quality paper, and sometimes black and white photos instead of color. They are usually less than half the price of U.S. editions.

how about buying them from the students who are just finishing the class. They could use the $$$ for the books they have to buy and the books would be fairly recent. That's what I used to do in college.

I've saved around $350 buying on amazon.ca and .com. I'm gonna sell my old ones on there, too.
And yes, check out if there's any students leaving that have their old ones.
As for high school having to buy books, that's ridiculous. :x
