$5/$2 off Best Buy DVD's coupon at theaters!

Don't know if this was already posted but went to the movies tonight to see Superman Returns again. The medium popcorn bags had $2 off and the large had $5 off regular prices.

Probably not a big deal for most but I plan on using them on HD DVD's.

Is it $5 off a certain price? Or just not sale prices?

I thought I had read the coupon ($5 on the large) that it's only for TV show DVDs. Maybe it's regional or I read it incorrectly.

The other side had a BOGO on Coke products. I wanted to keep the bag but the kids got a refill and got a different bag back so I can't confirm.

Showcase Cinemas are owned by National Amusements (which I think are in NY state.... but I don't know about the city).

It's possible. I got the $2 one.

I could imagine someone standing there to rip them off after the theater cleans out though

This is exactly right, I have the bag right here on my desk. I just saw a movie at AMC theaters, in Century City, California. $5 off any tv show dvd, with another coupon being BOGO any 20oz coke product at regular price at Best Buy. (Worth holding onto I guess, but when do you ever buy drinks at BB?)

Not buying anything doesn't save you anything anywhere. It's just money not spent.

Obviously, the coupon benefits those who regularly purchase popcorn at the theater and buy DVDs.

and as I said before, I'm sure I'm not the only one not above ripping it off someone else's bag at the theater
