Is there just one version of the films as far as widescreen goes or do we have to worry about getting a fullscreen dvd?

Everywhere I check says that these movies only came out in WS. Other vendors selling this 2-pack claim they both are WS. I'm taking the chance.

In for one. Thanks OP! W-M site shows there is a FS version, but we can hope the duo is actually WS.

<Bump>

And also, these are now in-store--in a half pallet display for $9.86 (actual price and/or location can vary as all things Wal-Mart do).

This is a Universal Studios 2-pk display and other 2 for $9.86 deals included:

Ray/The Hurricane
8 Mile/ Friday Night Lights
The Rundown /Scorpion King
Mummy Returns / The Musketeer
Notting Hill / About a Boy
Along Came Polly / Reality Bites (20th)
Intolerable Cruelty / Lost in Translation
8 Mile / Judgment Night
and several others--

pretty good for less than $5 a movie
$8.50 with 0.97 shipping ea. on their website as well

Were the "In Good Company" & "Wimbledon" both WS? Mine haven't arrived yet.

Peep,

About 2-3 weeks ago I posted a message to you in an old thread, but I guess you stopped checking it. Since private messaging doesn't work on DVD Talk, I'm trying to catch your attention by posting here. If you feel like continuing that discussion, the thread is here:

http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread.php?p=7122210

I'll check it for a couple more weeks. If you're not interested, then I won't bring up the subject of single vs. dual layer and disc space usage any more because nobody else seems interested in the subject.

You're right. I missed. I'm very interested in single/dual layer discussions. I'm not sure how many other people are. I'm very surprised, though, with all the interest in Superbit titles (maximizing dual layer) that there isn't more interest. It drives me batty when studios rerelease a movie with more extras and I can't find out the compression difference on the feature itself!
