DVD disc cleaners?

Does anyone have any experience with any of the DVD disc cleaners. I would like to safely clean used DVDs I buy and didn't know if this might be a better option than manually attempting to clean them.

Didn't know whether to place this in the general DVD forum or DVD & Home Theater Gear.

I get great results by boiling them.

Some rubbing alcohol and microfiber cloth to clean it.

I'm aware of them and the boiling trick but my post was concerning the actual disc cleaners one can buy and their effectiveness compared to manual methods.

You're supposed to use that to clean up something else.

I'm also curious about these and the Disc repair machines out there that use the "repair liquid". From what I can tell this liquid actually fills in scratches and then dries. They go for around $25 but I can only find 1 review from a consumer. They also have $90 ones but that is out of my price range.

No! Definitely not tube socks. Because of the 100% cotton material they are made of, which will leave a significant amount of lint, and other small materialistic particles on the DVDs.
