More effort and time required.
Let's branch off all discussions in there own forums. Some people just want to read about foreign films or not at all so let's get those off the DVD Talk forum. Same with new releases versus re-releases. How about independent movies versus big budget Hollywood films? Fantasy, sci-fi?
Yes, I'm being facetious but forcing everything horror related to a sub-forum just makes it more time consuming for users to read. Requiring more work for less info is not helpful.

On the other hand, it'll reduce the amount of traffic in the main forum for those that don't like horror.
edit: Noel, great to see ya back

Terrific idea. A lot of science fiction crosses into the horror genre though, i.e. the Alien films, Carpenter's The Thing and so on. I assume as long as there are horror elements within the film on some level that it's kosher to bring the discussion here?
