Hell's Kitchen - Season 2 Discussion
World-renowned chef (and raging firebreather) Gordon Ramsay is back for a second season of "Hell's Kitchen." Ramsay's hope is to find America's next culinary star and install him or her as executive chef in a new restaurant at the Red Rock Casino Resort Spa near Las Vegas. Additionally, the winner will be eligible to receive a financial interest in the restaurant and assist in its design. But before that, the six men and six women -- who will be divided along gender lines -- must survive Ramsay's wickedly ridiculous culinary boot camp. Among this season's candidates are a pizza maker from Texas, a cafeteria chef from Brooklyn and a marketing executive from Chicago.

I vote that the fish monger will fly under the radar until the very end where
he will be kicked off for being useless.
and how can they not know a person's age?
age is unknown?

This is one of those shows like the apprentice, where it's completely obvious who the final two will be...Heather and JacaSHMOW...they need to get rid of the sweaty guy, he makes me vomit thinking he is making food.

This is the first time that I ever watched this show and I must say that I'm shocked. I thought that the contestants would have some kind of culinary credentials like they did on the Top Chef. I think that I could cook better than these slobs. Here's my breakdown on the participants-
Tom- the slimy ex-stockbroker. His only skill thus far is sweating into the food.
Keith- thinks he's a rapper with his sideways ball cap. Doesn't even know how to write out an order.
Larry the fishmonger- we hardly knew you. Couldn't take the heat and stressed his way into the ER. Somehow the rest of the cast were able to carry on.
The con( I can't even remember his name. Maybe it's DOC024358)- definitely was someone's bitch in the joint. Great credentials there-dishing up slop to fellow felons.
Giacomo(spelling?) the pizza man with the scooby hairdo- that's who I want running a fancy resort restaurant, a pie flipper from the Hut.
Gabe- a total waste of space. Didn't have a clue in the kitchen.
Now for the ladies-
Polly- a complete dunce. Couldn't make a single appetizer after 2 hours.
Sarah- a complete dumbass. They are setting her up to be the heavy.
Virginia the salad maker- her signature dish is a fucking salad, real impressive. At least she's decent looking.
The 39 year butch blonde(I can't remember her name)- I can barely even remember her.
Maribele(something like that)- another completely forgettable personality so far.
Heather- the only one that shows promise. She's only 25 and is a sous chef in charge of a 12 person staff. Made a decent signature dish and took over
Polly's mess of an appetizer. Smacked Sarah down for celebrating in the kitchen and kept her composure after getting burned. She should win, but we'll see.
I'll keep watching for the laughs.

This was my first time watching this show. There was nothing on tv at the time, and I'm kinda glad because I watched both episodes. I'll see this thing out, it's great.

Yeah, first time for me too, quite liked it. I hope Sara gets booted soon as she's way too annoying..

First time watching this show. Wow, the kitchen is a disaster. I can't believe the amount of foods they wasted. Just unbelievable. Looks like I got myself a new show to watch for the summer.

The only thing I did not like about last nights show was when Gordon changed the pair that were up on the block.
I mean, whats the point of picking someone as the best, having them chose which 2 are up on the block only to make your own decision?
Was he right? Sure. That guy definately deserved to go. But it isnt up to him.
The person who is exempt from going home has the right to put whomever he wants on the block. He could have been doing that for strategy. Gordon snatched that right away from him.

Great stuff I love this show, I was praying it would come back for a second season. I do agree Heather is the front runner to win the whole thing, I mean damn she is tougher than Jack Bauer!
