If you were to interview a "Survivor" contestant what would you ask?
This is a combination real question and shameless plug.
I host a live version of the game show "The Match Game" and tomorrow night one of our celebrity panelists is Gregg Carey from Survivor: Palau. He lasted 33 of 39 days.
I'm a big Surivor watcher, but those in the audience may not be. What are some good general Surivor questions you'd want to know answers to even if you hadn't seen the Palau season? (Some that aren't your typical "What was it like on the island?" Mark McGrath type questions.)
Thanks!
And if you're in the Chicago-land area, my show is:
The Improv Match Game
Mondays at 10:30pm
i.O. (formerly ImprovOlympic)
3541 N. Clark St.
Chicago IL
Reservations: 773-880-0199
Admission: FREE!

We've been TimeOut Chicago's "Don't Miss!" pick twice in the last year. And in case you missed it, the show is free.

Hmm, okay. But let's suppose Colleen was actually a dude and you *weren't* interested in having sexual intercourse with him. How about then? Any good questions?

I've always wondered if they really feel like they're alone with all the crew people who aren't shown on screen. Would it be feasible to set up remote controlled cameras around the camp?

I'd ask about the crew too. For instance, sometimes the show portrays real danger. But do you really feel danger--or do you feel safer knowing the crew is around?
Also, when you talk to the camera, do they prompt you with questions? If so, how much? Do the crew ever prompt you to do anything to get shots, etc? And how fair was the editing?
P.S. Any way we can watch the show online?

Good questions, thanks!
The show will be videotaped so I'll try to get some clips up soon.
If you have any other questions post them here. The show isn't until 10:30pm central time so I'll keep checking until then.

Here's a few more...
- On the island you did without Western pleasures such as music, sweets or entertainment...are there any things like that that you've lost interest in because you realized you could do without them?
- Did living on the island create any new life habits for you? (ie getting up early, talking with friends more, etc)
- Does going to the beach now seem like less of a vacation since you nearly starved on one?

It went really well!
Gregg was very friendly and very willing to answer questions. Afterwards he was very gracious to audience members and posed for photos and gave autographs even though I'm sure most people didn't really know who he was.
But as far as being a panelist his answers were smart and he was very charming. He said he had a great time and would love to be on the show again. Hooray!
The show was videotaped so I'll probably get a copy of it from the cameraman by next Monday. I'll pull some clips and put them up.
Thanks for asking, GuessWho!

Gregg Carey just sent me an email saying he'd like to be on the panel of the Improv Match Game again, so he's playing again this Monday July 31, 2006.
If there are any more questions you'd like me to ask him - I will.
And if any DVDTalkers want to come, I'd love for you to see the show. It's free and fun!
