Anyone Collect Movie Stills (Pictures) Instead of/Along With Movie Posters?
I was searching for some movie posters tonight...when I saw websites have 8x10 movie stills. And it's just photos of different scenes in movies regarding the characters. And at first I thought it was weird...but then I kind of thought it could be an interesting alternative/addition to collecting movie posters.
Has anyone done it...and framed them and hung them on their with like a movie poster? I'm not sure if this is a popular thing to do or not?
Thanks.

I collect movie posters and I have seem some of the lobby cards as they are called and I don't think I would mount them. I just recently one a set of Aliens lobby card and I will most likely store them.

I used to collect 8x10 glossys as a kid, and still have hundreds. I only have a few one sheets. Most of the 8x10s i put in clear sleeves in 3 ring binders.
A few of the better ones, or ones that were autographed I would frame and hang up.
besides the fact that I only had limited space for the one sheets, the stills were much cheaper to collect.
a couple years back I bought some really nice 11 x 14's that looked to have been developed from the original negatives of Rita Hayworth and Veronica Lake.
I wouldn't mind getting more things like that, but my 8 x 10 collection I'm actually trying to sell. Its just a hassle to scan them all in and list them seperately. I may try doing it in groups in the future.

The 1/4 Superman was a custom project made by CKING that took almost 18 months to complete. It's the best Reeve likeness I have ever seen.
There were only 18 of them made, so it is not available. Sorry. The sculptor may put his last one on ebay at some point.

Wow...thats interesting that you posted here, Dark. I just got my movie still images in the mail today, and one of them is the sane Indy Jones one you have (the first).
Your set up is a great idea.
Where dd you get the T-Rex. I'm really liking that. I've been looking for movie busts of characters for a long time--like Batman, of for example--but I haven't really found anything (except a Darth Maul that goes for like $700 or more).

Dark...are you saying you emailed me a link, or sent it through like a private message on DVDTalk? Because I'm looking on DVDTalk in my UserCP and all, and I don't see anything...
