What Movie Would you Want to Watch at the Location where it was Filmed?

After find and posting this

http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread....46#post7066646

It got me thinking about what movie I would want to watch on the location it was filmed. I don't know what my answer would be right now because I'm at work and nothing is coming to me right away but what would your answer be?

PS- We're talking about actual locations.

I got lucky when I was living in Texas last year and got to watch a screening of "Giant" in downtown Marfa, where it was filmed. The screening was outdoors in the middle of the street. It was the 50th anniversary of the filming of the movie, so some of the stars were there, too.

Any of the "Star Wars" prequels and then the remastered "Return of the Jedi" with the scenes of celebration. those cities were just so lush and gorgeous. i would love to go to any one of them and watch the movie!

The Austin Alamo Drafthouse puts these things on all the time. I saw The Texas Chainsaw Massacre in Kingsville, TX next to the house used in the film. Some of the stars were there, even the original Leatherface.

I seem to recall a few years ago they had a showing of the Blair Witch Project in the woods where it was filmed.

Yup. I really wish I would've been able to go on the tour they took last year. Of those screenings, these two that I would've absolutely adored are:

Sunday, August 28
North By Northwest
Bakersfield, CA

When Cary Grant is running from the biplane in NORTH BY NORTHWEST, he's running through the fields of Bakersfield. Attendees will feel a bit of tension too, for at the Rolling Roadshow screening we'll have live cropduster flybys!

Saturday, September 3
Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind
Devil's Tower, WY

It's a 19 hour drive from screening #9, but CLOSE ENCOUNTERS at Devil's Tower is the one that is making us giddy. Look for real aliens, men in foil suits and a mashed potato sculpture contest before the film!

I was going to suggest the Blues Brothers at the abandoned mall featured in the film, but it was recently demolished

I'd like to see:
Tombstone at the site of the OK corral

The Shawshank Redemption at Mansfield State Reformatory. (though from what I understand, it's in pretty bad shape)

Saving Private Ryan on Normandy Beach

GoldenJCJ just took my answer.

Saving Private Ryan on Normanday Beach. This one would lead my list.

Braveheart would be another...possibly Return of the King.

I love the epic battles

Tombstone was actually filmed on a set outside the town, near Bowie, Arizona.

The original OK Corral is pretty cramped to film a widescreen Hollywood movie there anymore.

I thought Shawshank was filmed at the Mansfield prison just before it was torn down? Check the "Making Of" doc on Disc 2...I don't believe that Reformatory exists anymore.

I would love to have been on location for The Fog at Point Reyes Station lighthouse and Inverness, California (just north of Frisco). Also, being in Vegas for the filming of Diamonds Are Forever or Casino (late at night in the Riviera) would have been sheer bliss.

Last year I read about a Jaws festival at the town they filmed it at.

I'd like to see Star Wars at some of the desert locations from the first movie (rock canyon, farm plain. maybe overlooking where the city was). I think Indy Jones was filmed in the same area. Always wanted to see those locations.

What was that location in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade near the end, with the building face carved into the cliff walls? That would be pretty cool to see.

Doh, you're right. I even knew that! Still it'd be cool to see it at the OK corral, even if it wasn't filmed there

I watched an episode of Ghost Hunters on the Sci-fi Channel not to long ago and they were at the prison, but it may very well have been torn down since then...kinda a creepy place.

Braveheart was the first that came to mind.
Seven Samurai's village would be kind of neat as well.
