Upcoming horror/sci-fi conventions in Southern California?

Like the title says, i'm wanting to find out if there are any horror/sci-fi conventions coming up anytime in the next 4-5 months in Southern California. I know the Fango convention was last weekend, but any others? Thanks.

AnimExpo (Anaheim) - July 1 - 4
San Diego Comic Con - July 20 - 24

And while I hate to pimp Bruce's crap..
You can check out the schedule for his Shrine shows at www.comicbookscifi.com

I'd also check with www.creationent.com/calendar.htm for shows put on by Creation Entertainment (They do the big Trek geek fests)

26-Aug-06 - Battlestar Galactica Con
3-Nov-06 - Official Farscape Con
17-Nov-06 - Official Stargate SG-1 Con
12-Jan-07 - Official Xena Convention
9-Mar-07 - The One Ring Celebration
13-Apr-07 - Grand Slam Sci-Fi Summit
18-May-07 - Fangoria's W'knd Horrors

They really have those? I thought Simpsons was just making it up. Watch out MacGyver, Patty & Selma are in the area!

I'll second the San Diego ComicCon, if you don't mind crowds. It pretty much has everything. The dealers floor is worth the price of admission.

There's always lots of "big names" scheduled for events, and some show up unannounced at the last minute. Quite often you can run into them (literally, as I did once to Walter Koenig) as they are wandering around the convention or are a guest at some dealer's table.

It's a madhouse, but I try to go every two or three years. It's a blast.
