Conan O'Brien - May 24, 2006 - "If They Mated"
I'm way behind on my Conan viewing so I'm just getting around to this episode. Maybe they're just getting better at these, but I thought this was one of if not the best "ITM" segments I've ever seen.

When Conan does this popular bit it's very funny. It's all about how the audience reacts. Sometimes it's laughter and other times it's utter shock and dismay.

Well, there probably isn't anything that's funny to everybody. That being said, I think these are hilarious. Nice threadcrap though.

I like the more naturalish ones (like the Perry/Davis or Locklear/Spade) where they simply transpose facial features. The ones where they supersize mouths and whatnot (Richards/Sambora), or where they arrange the features in outlandishly inhuman positions (Simpson/Cook) are less funny to me for some reason.

The best one I ever saw involved Rod Stewart and.....I don't even remember who the other person was. The initial photo of Rod Stewart looked so bizarre(his eyes were really wide open and he had a stupid grin on his face) that the crowd kept laughing and wouldn't let Conan get to the actual "If They Mated" part.

I agree, usually, but the Richards/Sambora one is my favorite of this bunch. I think it was done just right.
