X-Files Season sets - $24.97 each - Amazon.com

I just ordered season 8 & 9 for $24.97 each from Amazon.com. I did a quick search and saw most if not all the season (I believe they are in their new packaging) for $24.97 each.

Good catch. I also needed Seasons 8 & 9 to finish off the series, but I couldn't bring myself to pay big money for them since they were weaker seasons. For $50, now I can.

Agreed - that's what I was waiting for. These sets go for $36 at DDD.

I saw some Buffy slim-packs on sale for $20 a season, and Tru Calling is 50% off. This might be a larger FOX sale

This appears to be the case. The Angel sets are $29.97 each as are the Roswell and Millennium sets.

Sweet! It says release date of June 6 so they must be the new package. Time to place my order for 7,8, and 9.

Edit....Just placed my ordered. Thanks OP. $74.97 with shipping on all 3 is a great price and no taxes.

It's definitely the thinpak version.

Great find, OP! Significantly cheaper than the Best Buy $30 off deal this week on the X-Files sets.

I've only seen X-Files Season 1 and must admit that I found it a little boring. But I know the series is so popular. Does the show pick up the pace and get any better?

I'd say the show starts to pick up a lot in Season 2, with my favorite season either being 3 or 4.

That sucks. I saw that price after returning from Best Buy with the final three seasons.

I own the digipaks for Seasons 1 and 4, so I'll continue getting them that in that packaging. Thanks for the heads up, though.

Season one did kind of suck. I haven't seen all of Season two, but three and four are great.

I personally thought season 1 was great! I didn't really think it picked up a whole lot from there, more that it just maintained the great quality for the next few seasons. I'm currently watching season 4.

Thanks OP, gonna order season 7 now.
