Favorite Dylan song?

After much internal turmoil, I have selected "Every Grain of Sand".

No poll?

I only owned Greatest Hits Vol 1 for the longest time and that was all I knew of Dylan. Then one night at 3AM I heard Tangled Up in Blue and now he's the second most collected music collection (thanks a lot to yourmusic.com). Thus, Tangled Up in Blue is now my sentimental favorite.

(I'd better leave it at that before I start thinking about naming Ballad of a Thin Man, or Tombstone Blues, or A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall, or My Back Pages ... oops to late.)

Motorpsycho Nightmare. Knew a guy in high school who could recite all the lyrics. We'd be sittin' around stoned and somebody would always say, "Hey. man. Do Motorpsycho Nightmare".

Tough choice. Right now, "You Aint' Going Nowhere." Ask me tomorrow, it'll be something else.

Ditto on the idea, except my song choice would be "Shelter from the Storm".

Eh, this is a bit absurd of a question considering the sheer amount of songs but I think this one is up there..

Simple Twist of Fate

and my favorite live one has to be Romance in Durango (Plymouth Rock Rolling Thunder show... it begins this ones for Sam Peckinpah).

Either "Like a Rolling Stone" or "Tangled Up In Blue". Any of you Dylan fans should read Greil Marcus's "Like A Rolling Stone: Bob Dylan At The Crossroads". It gives some facinating insights into the song and its creation.

Have you heard the Basement Tapes alternate take with these deliriously nonsensical lyrics? It's a hoot.

"Tangled Up in Blue" today, but ask me for the next five days and I'll have five more.
