How can Jackass be unrated, I thought the current release contained a lot of stuff.

I imagine this is another release that is being touted as 'unrated' just because it contains footage not submitted to the MPAA when it was originally released. It will be interesting to see what (if any) new extras are on this. It's an obvious double-dip to promote the sequel - titled Number Two - that is supposed to hit theaters this fall.

never bought the first edition anyway, guess I'll have to cave it and buy the new edition of Jackass.

I'd get this if the extras are worthwhile.

I remember someone in Canada on another forum claiming their theatrical release was 4 minutes longer than the U.S released. I'm not sure if it is true or not,but supposedly a few minutes were cut to avoid an NC-17.

But I guess we'll see for sure when the new dvd is released.

No kidding though. He's one of the only guys who I don't think showed any nudity, definitely no frontal. I wasn't sure about picking this one up the first time around, so maybe if they put some good extras on this and carry over what they had before I'll consider purchasing it.

I'll buy it, because I'm a fan of the movie. I have the original release, but it's in fullscreen (I used to be stupid. Now, I've only got about four FS DVDs.) I'll gladly sell that one.

I'll definetly get it. I thought the old release had a lot of deleted scenes and extras, but will get the double dip. It would be even nicer if it came with a free ticket to see Jackass Number 2.

I agree with the others. If the extra footage and the features warrant it, I'll probably double dip on this one.

I still do not think I will double dip. The previous disc had almost thirty minutes of deleted footage.

Not only did the previous disc have half an hour of deleted scenes, but it also contained two audio commentary tracks, a half-an-hour documentary, ten minutes worth of outtakes, music videos, trailers, and still galleries. What the hell else could they add? According to the commentaries, all of the deleted footage they mention ended up on the disc.

I am not double dipping, but for those of you who are:

The new cut will incorporate four minutes of 'wild and raunchy' extended scenes, along with additional footage too hot for MTV (The Vomelete, Pee Pee Wake Up, Stilt Poop and much more). Also included will be an inside look at the sequel Jackass Number Two, as well as a ticket to see the movie.

I'm just getting started checking this disc out, but a cursory examination tells me "save your money." The inside look is simply the sequel's trailer, the extras are all the same except for a small handful of scenes that aren't all that interesting. I'm also having a hard time finding the uncut material.

More to come when I post my review (probably Monday or Tuesday.)
