It happened at the end of June last year. There's no guarantee that it will be on again this June. With all of the smaller sales, I have been wondering if they are changing their sale philosophy.

Just took a look at the sale and, as Drmoze pointed out, it's up to 49% off. A lot of them aren't much better than their regular prices...a lot of $19.95 discs selling for $13.55. I'm sure there are some good deals, but it'll take a while to seperate the wheat from the chaff.

There's a few nice deals in that Warner sale. $6.xx for two movies individually, but then for some of them there's a 2 movies on one disc release for $7.xx

I wish they ran more TV box set sales. I dont collect many of these odd titles and in a lot of cases, dont really know if they are a deal. Bring on 20%

Many of the titles in the first sale are available in boxsets where the average price per disc is under $10. Unless The Asphalt Jungle is the only film noir you want, the deal's not that great. Especially when you consider that DDD still has Warner 2-disc special editions on sale for $10.38.
The second sale has some nice deals, though I note many of the titles come in snap-cases, and quite a few of the wide-screen films are non-anamorphic.
I think I'll pick up Battleground and House of Wax (Vincent Price version) and save the rest of my money for the 20% off sale.

Yeah I think started doing that last year and people doubted that the big sale would still happen.
They start all these mini-sales as a counter measure because they probably noticed that sales taper off a month before the anticipated sale. So they have these price drops with deadlines that last till a month before the sale.
This is a good way to keep sales up for most of the year, as when the prices go back up theyre still higher with the 20% off. That keeps me shopping 6 times a year from them instead of the usual 2 sales.
