If FYE does another 15% off coupon for Memorial Day this year, I may go for Lost and chance the rebate.

what do you mean by "chance" the rebate? do you mean that they have a history of not coming through?

Why would anyone want to cut up their set for the upc? I don't get it...

Yeah, I'm definitely going to wait to see if a coupon comes around and then I may buy all 3.

I'm going to wait and see if we're going to get any Best Buy exclusives for Lost before buying from F.Y.E.

I can't tell if this is a joke or not. If not, the reason I said that was because my last 7 rebates I've sent in through FYE have all been invalid for one reason after the next - it takes a phone call and sometimes even more work (re-faxing documents, multiple reps on the phone, etc.) to get it validated.

I bought Lost S1 from FYE.com last year and didn't cut the UPC. It had a sticker of the UPC over the actual UPC on the box. So I peeled it off, sent it in, and it worked.

they changed their rebate terms online and no longer require you to mail in the UPC code.

I might have to do this. I've never ever cared about Best Buy's crappy bonus discs, anyway.

Thanks for the heads up, man!

No, it wasn't a joke. I've never applied for a rebate from them and was wondering what other's experiences are. I never got my rebate from eCost and so I'm no longer going to be baited by any rebates they offer.

thanks for sharing your experience.

For Lost S2, $29.99 with the rebate doesn't sound that good. I wouldn't be surprised if other stores have it at that price when it first comes out.

I figure it will be between 30 and 35 on release week. Not worth the rebate hassle.

Yeah, it's a bit early to be considering this (for me at least). Lost will likely land in that price range somewhere anyway during release week.

And, if history holds, there will be some Lost exclusives to chase. I'd want to see if any of them look worthwhile before I commit to any retailer.

If Best Buy have a bonus disc even remotely as good for Lost S2 as they did for the first one then it would be a definite must-have for fans of the show. I bought S1 for $19.99 at Strawberries and then the one with bonus disc at Best Buy before returning the one from strawberries to Best Buy
