More Cuts Before Announcements Coming This Week (ABC/NBC)
source: http://www.thefutoncritic.com/newswire.aspx?id=7156
With 48 hours to go until its upfront presentation, ABC has issued pink slips out to its freshman entries "Invasion" and "Freddie" as well as its veteran comedy "Hope & Faith."
The trio join the previously cut "Alias," "Emily's Reasons Why Not," "Hot Properties," "Night Stalker" and "Sons & Daughters." Also not expected back: "Commander-In-Chief," "Crumbs, "The Evidence," "In Justice," "Jake in Progress," "Less Than Perfect" and "Rodney."
Still up in the air however are the fates of "According to Jim" and "The George Lopez Show."
Meanwhile over on NBC, which presents tomorrow, the network has pulled the plug on its midseason series "Conviction" and "Teachers." Similar fates are also likely for "E-Ring," "Four Kings," "Joey" and "Surface," all of whom have been off the air for several months. Said developments leave "Scrubs" as the only "bubble" series left with a chance at renewal.
There's also a rumor floating around that since ABC killed Invasion, it might move over to CW, but obviously a rumor ..

Conviction was the best legal entertainment around since NBC quickly pulled David E. Kelley's reality show and moved it to Bravo. That thing was a laugh riot.
I really should have started watching The Practice or Boston Legal at some point. My guess is that I'd find it just as amusing. Maybe next season...

In Justice deserves another shot. Commander in Chief too.
Didnt know E-ring was still on. Couldnt hack West Wing's old slot with all that action i guess.
I liked Sons and Daughters. Dont know why they decided to burn off 2 shows a week like they did. The name Lorne Michaels did more to turn my friends off but I gave it a chance and it was the only sitcom on ABC i watched. (cant name any others though)
Worst part about the post is reminding me of Four Kings. I suddenly feel nauseous.

Wow, that's a drag about Invasion because it really picked up lately. I got into Conviction only because Fridays are so empty and have gotten into it, so I'm bummed to see it go too. Surface? Oh yeah.. I remember Surface ...

Invasion has been great recently, when are networks going to learn how to market shows. How can these companies be smart enough to produce these shows and then let them die. Has DVD taught them nothing? Invasion will sell a boat load of dvds but they can't figure out to make another season.

I was a little curious about it's absence on that "list" too, Jadzia. I actually was starting to enjoy it right as it abruptly ended. I hope ABC gives it a legit shot next year.

Sons and Daughters being cancelled is pretty much the greatest news I've heard all day. Thank God.
Invasion is the only show on the list that one should actually be sad about being cancelled.
