Boston Legal - "Squid Pro Quo" - 5/09

"Squid Pro Quo"
Spoiler:
Ambitious attorney Marlene Stanger (Parker Posey) joins the firm, prompting Denise to wonder whether there is room for both of them; Denny goes head-to-head with his son over a woman who lost her baby at an inadequately supplied clinic in Nepal.

Did that dumbass Freddie Prinze Jr. show get canceled yet? I don't mind him as Donny Crane but that other show is a major turd.

"Objection, the witness isn't speaking English"

The stare downs between Marlene and Alan were great

I had the hardest time trying to flip channels between this (not a fan, but I have a MAJOR crush on Parker Posey ) and the season finale of 'Gilmore Girls.'

Stupid apartment cable system that won't let me watch one show and tape another. I feel like I'm living in the 1970s.

Why couldn't Posey guest-star on GG instead? That would have saved a lot of wear and tear on my batteries.

Another great episode. Not too much Brad though. Looks like "the Squid" is gonna make Denise grow a set

He's actually decent as Donnie Crane isn't he? Okay episiode. I kept waiting for more sparks to fly but I did like a lot of the quips. I also like how the show has this kind of self-aware quality to it like Denny's line at the end about looking forward to next week & a few weeks ago with Alan's Sundays & Tuesdays thing. Speaking of next week the show goes into guest star overload doesn't it? Robert Wagner, Parker Posey, Jeri Ryan and Michael J. Fox. Whew!

He does a good job as Donny Crane, I don't dislike him so much as the roles he plays.
My 2 favorite scenes tonight were the ones with Denny & Donny, especally when they were talking about the hookers

If you want American money... don't kill babies.

Some of us don't have fancy expense accounts to pay for our meals.
You should. It's awesome.

I'm apparently the only one who feels that Parker Posey is, well... ugly.

Hard to believe that's the best that the almighty Denny Crane can come up with. Alan Shore seems like a far more intelligent lawyer. The reaction from Denny and the USAID guy was pretty funny after Alan's first half of his closing.

I'm curious about what Alberto thinks about this episode, I'm sure he really would get a good laugh from this or at least be satisfied that his side won.

The stare downs were okay at first but they got old really quick.

Does anyone else here think that Parker Posey bears an uncomfortable resemblance to Lara Flynn Boyle?
I like Prinze Jr. on this show too, which further proves how suck-ass his sitcom is.
Those staredowns were classic

It gave me goose-bumps in addition to putting a grin on my face.

Posey is getting worse looking w/ age. But her character should make things interesting around the office. Too bad they over-did the stare-downs.

You're not the only one. I don't think she's that attractive. Who is she anyway? What else has she done?

She's done a lot of indie films. Her most famous is probably "Dazed & Confused" where she played the bitchy head cheerleader.

Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show

I loved the deleted scene she has on the Waiting for Guffman DVD:
"Who's on top and who's on bottom, NOW?!?"
