Anyone remember this early 80's childrens' movie?
My brother was asking me if I remembered a movie from either the late 70's or early 80's - it was a children's movie we saw as kids on The Movie Channel. I forget the title, but it was a claymation movie in which animal characters were racing cars in a grand prix. I think there was a turtle as one of the main characters. Beyond that I don't remember much of the movie. I don't think it was a Jim Henson production, but who knows. They used to show it all the time on The Movie Channel in the early 80's. If anyone knows the title or remembers the movie, I appreciate any info you have. Thanks.

I don't think this is it - it looks like these are human (humanistic) characters. In the movie I'm talking about, the characters are all animals. I think one of the main characters' name was actually in the title. Thanks for the reply though.

If you are misremembering the claymation aspect, the other movies that could fit your description, but are cel-animated not clay, would be several of Wind in the Willows adaptations made in the 1980s for TV, which feature a race between a bunch of animals.

This movie may in fact be stop motion animation, now that I think about it. I've done a pretty extensive search on imdb.com and still haven't come up with an answer. I tried several searches through both "Stop motion" and "animals" and didn't have any luck. Thanks for your replies though.
