i saw the main trailer with Mission impossible 3, and this movie could actually be really cute and funny at the same time. Also, just by reading the cast list, def. makes me want to see how it is (bruce willis, steve carell, William Shatner, Thomas Hayden Church.

I don't think we are the target audience regardless. Sure there's celeberity voices. But those are mainly there to keep the parents pleased as a kids story is being shown.

However, I am interested in seeing Over The Hedge. Looks like it can be cute and funny without having to be hit over the head with decade old pop culture references like Shrek, Shrek 2, or Shark Tale.

Our local paper ran the comic strip for about 2 weeks, as they try to test out new strips (to the paper) and I didn't really care for it.
But, when I saw the trailer, I thought the animation looked great, and it looked funny. So, I'll probably check this out at some point, not sure if I'll see in the the theater, but I'll pick up the DVD when it hits $10.

Not having seen any of the animal-themed animated films of the past yr, this one did catch my interest just on visual style and characters. Not seeing it in theaters tho.

Now that my kids are teenagers, I can't use them as an excuse to go to movies like this, so I'll probably wait until video (and then only rent while wearing an overcoat, fedora and sunglasses).

God bless the fedora, making anything you do cool... since the early 1900s.
I think the movie looks entertaining, probably won't see it in theaters but will see it somewhere down the line. I saw a making of on HBO and was amazed at just how many names they got into it, heh.

I did, but the more I see, the less I want to. Some of the characters look like they will get on my nerves too quick, and I am afraid it won't be as witty and fun as I first thought.

No. I've pretty much seen all the hilarious CGI talking animals movies with their zany hijinks that I need to see for the time being. Over the Hedge doesn't even look like it'll be as good as Shark Tale. Oh, but look, it's got a belching squirrel and a gassy skunk. The potential for hilarity has never been greater!

one thing this movie has going for it is it's 84 minutes long. we're being told to maximize screen time which means we'll probably show 5 and maybe even 6 shows a day. a box office dark horse to rake lots of money.

This is the talking-animal-in-CGI movie I am looking forward too this year. (If you think that's too specific, I can probably name at least a dozen). I also think that this movie is going to be one of the top blockbusters of this year. Mark my words!

I'm surprised the wife didn't want to see The Wild, and surprised again she doesn't really want to see Over the Hedge. But we will be lined up for Cars about 4 days before it opens.
