DVD SAVANT - Can I trust the review?
"Video: Excellent"
Is what SAVANT gave KINO's pressing of Haneke's "71 Fragments...."
Here is my problem. Everywhere I've read about these R1 dvd's suggested to me these were PAL ports, and that the video quality left a lot to be desired. Pro-B's reviews of the other discs were very dissapointing, and I trust his judgement.
Now I see this review, which seems to go against most reviews I've seen for these discs.
Did KINO get lucky/do it proper for "71 Fragments", or did the reviewer miss something?

Glenn is an excellent reviewer with lots of connections and stories to tell behind a particular film-he admits that while he rates picture quality-that hes not an obsessive techno HT nut and is more intereested in a film itself that also has a good presentation

I'd assume a dvd review website would focus on the HT stuff more than the film critique stuff.
Don't get me wrong, I love reading Glenn's reviews but I wish the technical stuff wouldn't get a back seat.
