At this point in the race it is usually just luck that determines the placing. Each team has proven capable, so I am just going to pick the team I dislike the most: MoJo.

I was hoping Monica would have been eaten by the crocs. I really HATE MoJo, especially Mo. It seems everything she complains about the hippies, she does even more.

I like how they panned over with the camera to the big crocs but in the actual area where they had to go were a few tiny little ones

I generally agree, and this isn't the first time they have done that, but I think it was worth it just because of how mad it made MoJo.

My wife and I have only watched about half this season, but did those two tasks seem incredibly uneven to any one else? It seemed that one took a total of 15 minutes, while the other an hour plus.

I think your estimate of timing is just about exactly on since the hippies should have been an hour ahead of MoJo due to the yield, and both teams ended the challenges dead even. That choice has always been a part of the game, and I feel it is at its best when one task is better than the other.
