Problem With Surround Sound

My sub suddenly stopped working. The power light on the back of it still works, just no sound comes out of it. I checked the volume on the sub itself and all that creates is a humming noise when turning it up.
I thought maybe a setting was changed on my receiver, but everything seemed normal. I know I didn't blow it cause I never play it loud.
Could it be that it broke or am I overlooking something common?
Also, I watched a baseball game on ESPNHD and noticed the announcers voices were coming out of the front speakers. Maybe it's because I'm used to listening with the sub on, but I thought dialogue came out of the center speaker. My rear speakers seemed fine, just hearing crowd noise. It didn't sound like anything was coming out of the center.
This makes me think that maybe a setting was changed, but I can't figure it out. All wires look to be in and tight.

Well, it turns out it was a setting that was messed up. Not sure if my girlfriend accidentally pressed the wrong button or if my dog stepped on the remote, but I got it back.
