Kid Icarus may be coming back? Also, possible Mario Rev. Pic?

Here is some news regarding the Revolution. Both are still rumors, but the Kid Icarus rumor is slanting towards the positive.

Joystiq.com has put up a list of known third-party games for the Revolution. The list is quite short and even includes some independent developers. Nonetheless, all the titles shown are Revolution exclusives. The games listed follow.

· Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles Revolution – SquareEnix

· Flight Game – Hudson

· The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross – AGFRAG Entertainment Group

· Orb – Crossbeam Studios

· Raid Over the River – Nibris

· Red Steel – Ubisoft Paris

· Sadness – Nibris

· Sunder: Land of Divide – LifeSpark Studios

Expect the list to grow exponentially come E3 on May 9, 2006.

Possible Mario Pic???

We will know for sure at E3.

"Spong is reporting that they have inside information that a new Kid Icarus for the Revolution will be shown at the E3."

One thing's already guaranteed.

"The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross" is sure to be a Holiday Best Seller.

Sounds almost as exciting as that golf game Bart Simpson got for Christmas one year.

Ewww...the Kid Icarus information is from Spong. I wouldnt' trust them if they had signed affidavits from Iwata saying it was happening, with pictures of him signing them. I've heard Kid Icarus rumors bandied around since at least the N64 days, and he has yet to make a return.

I think something is up.. the latest Nintendo Power has a mini-review of Kid Icarus mysteriously under their Revolution teaser section citing "Until Pit makes his triumphant return one day, Kid Icarus will live on in the hearts of old-school gamers, who may at least revisit Angel Land on Revolution's virtual console."

Only this time they've got WiFi. Totally different idea than GBA-GC connectivity. Hopefully it is more than just DS-Rev WiFi and you can play with remote Revs.

I quite enjoyed it myself, along with my wife and our friend. The need for the GBA was annoying when we wanted to bring someone new in, but I am certainly excited for the DS and Rev versions.

Well, I'd imagine Kid Icarus is one of the first titles available for download on the VC. Would make sense right? Or were you thinking of a new version of KI?

Actually, that's Shadow Mario. I mean, after all you can see right through him.

Yeah fake as Jenna boobs Yeah alot weird Kid Icarus vibes lately, nearly as much as a Nights sequel and return of the DK platformer. Scary thing though is all these kids asking for aKid Icarus to be like God of War, another dark moody violent game request, sigh.

You can't possibly believe that picture of Mario Revolution is real (looks kinda cool though).

As far as Kid Icarus, even though spong is reporting it (who I'd never trust), I remember reading an interview with Miyamoto right after TGS where he himself said that they have gotten numerous requests for a new Kid Icarus game and they are looking into it. He stopped just short of actually confirming the the existence of the game. I think it'll happen on revolution (or DS).

If Nintendo starts remaking their old NES games, I definitely want to see a new Punch Out game.
Punch Out was by far my favorite NES game. The Rev controller would be interesting to use too. Swing the controller like you are swinging a punch. Throw an uppercut with the controller and Little Mac throws an uppercut on screen. That would also give some of us lazy gamers a bit of a workout.

Yes! I would sell my soul to Nintendo if they made a new Punch-Out. I've been waiting near 15 years for a new one. The control set-up is PERFECT for it as well.

Punch out on the Rev would require two revmotes, or new controllers that wrapped around your fingers as psuedo-gloves. Then it would work just like that arcade boxing game where you could jab, hook, or uppercut with either hand. Jook left or right by moving both hands that direction. Duck/block by moving backwards.

Easy and fun. Of course, original controls would exist for the extremely lazy.

Or they could just rerelease the Power Glove!
