Well this is much more complete than previous Best Of's, but I'm really going to miss "Bad Is Bad" on here.

What video's are missing from the DVD? It's very heavy on Sports (which is a good thing), but it seems to be missing "Jacob's Ladder" and "Hip to be Square" from Fore - and pretty much every video after Fore.

Is that a friend of my dad's?

I might pick this up. I wouldn't let anyone see that I have it, but I might get it.

About the only thing this has on it that the other GH doesn't is Back in Time, which IMHO, is only an decent song.

So now artists just release another GH package instead of new material?

It seems that it's been that way for the past ten years to me. Having said that, I'll probably break and pick it up. I have yet to get their last (live) album. I got it on DVD, and was unimpressed. Mostly with the lack of energy.

If only they could also come out with a Gensis Best of CD/DVD (highlighting the Phil Collins years of course)

That is the most accurate description of their music that I have ever heard!

Jsut curious, everyone. What's your favortie Huey Lewis album? Mine is Picture This.

Huey's lead guitarist's sister is the subject of this thread that I started a few days ago. More people need to know about her great music from 1982:

Definately Sports for me. Huey Lewis holds a very dear place in my music history, as this was the first concert I ever went to. I was in third grade and went with my Mom

It was their Fore! tour with Robert Cray opening up. Over the years, I still consider this one of the best shows I've ever been to. I remember they came out for at least 2 encores, maybe 3.

I got a tour program and a T-Shirt.

While I felt my mom was rad, awesome, and gnarly that night, this view would soon change during 4th and 5th grade when she wouldn't allow me to go with my older cousin to see Bon Jovi / Cinderella, Def Leppard, and Run-DMC / Beastie Boys.

I hate when these types of cds come out and throw in live songs. I don't want "Trouble in Paradise" to be any different than the other songs. I would much prefer it to be remastered just like all the other tracks.

Holy crap, they've been around for 25+ years? I feel old...
Anyway, looking through their discography to remember what song is on what album, I like most of them.
"Huey Lewis and the News", Picture THis and Sports are my favorites. Probably a tossup between HLN and Picture This, though some of my favorite tracks are on Sports. Oh yeah, and I've got HLN on vinyl, but I still voted for it
Here's a site I found with discography and lyrics. http://www.hln.org/albums/
I saw them in, I guess 91/92 or something, on the Hard at Play tour. They were great then.

They're playing near me in July, but damn, they want 61.50 per ticket, plus all the fees. Guess I should have caught them more locally a few years back for 35....

I'll pick this up for the vids, but I'll keep that import "best of" CD for "Bad Is Bad", and a couple others.

Walking on a Thin Line doesn't get any respect either.

I saw them in '85 or '86 and that was the best song live imo.

Did I miss it, or is "Plan B" not in the poll selections? Sure, it's not their greatest album, but a fun one none-the-less. I don't know if I can really pick a favorite album. If I really had to, it'd be a toss up between "Huey Lewis & The News" and the first one I got of theirs, "Hard At Play". "Small World" is probably at the bottom even though I still enjoy it.

I realized I left it out right after I done the poll and I'm trying to get it added now. I like alot of this CD including We're Not Here For A Long Time and Thank You #19. Glad to see a few Huey fans still out here.

'Walking on a Thin Line' and 'It Hit Me Like a Hammer' are notable omissions here. It is nice that they included Cruisin' though.
