Xbox 360: 2 players on 1 X360?

I've got my brother coming over this weekend to try out my Xbox 360.
I'm looking for great two player games, strictly off-line, no Live gaming.

Do games like Fight Night R.3 or Burnout Revenge allow for this? Any suggestions would help.

Thanks.

I do know Perfect Dark has co-operative. Madden 06 provide up to 4 players.

2 Player Fight Night is sweeeeeet. As long as you're close to equal in skills and one of you won't spazz out if it's not a slugfest. Perfect Dark is also good for multi-player offline, haven't tried Burnout yet but I have a hard enough time controlling the damn car with the full screen view, let alone sharing it.

Burnout is great, GRAW, Top Spin, FNR3,... I think most games offer some sort of 2 player mode (even COD2 lets you kill each other in 1 on 1 deathmatch)...other than Oblivian of course

Do any of these games offer 4 player modes for one console? For racing games and such?

Thanks to all the replies so far.

I've already got GRAW so we'll try that, but I think I'll also pick-up Fight Night R.3. It'll be the first time playing that for both of us so that should be a riot.

I had a friend in for a weekend and all we played was GRAW in the mode that is just the two of you, a couple lives, and like 50 enemies around the map. It was awesome fun.

Most multiplayer games on the 360 offer an in-game co-op mode. Not every single one, but most.

Call of Duty allows for four players on one console.

So does Ghost Recon. In fact, for Ghost Recon, if you hook up four 360s, you can play 16-player co-op.

GRAW allows two players on the same console to get on XBOX Live on one membership, right?

Are you saying this is possible on only one X360? That actually sounds really fun. I like those odds.

Yep - one xbox - 2 controllers split screen against 30-50 enemies. It was a great way to introduce my friend to the game because he could keep respawning and as we got better we set limited lives to add some pressure. It also allowed me to unlock a couple achievements for 30 kills without dying as well as 4 kills in 4 seconds or something. The AI is smart enough to make it petty interesting for you and a friend.
