South Park ~ 04.19.2006 ~ A Million Little Fibers

I know I'm early according to the unofficial rules... but South Park is a show that gets announced a day or two before it airs. The storyline is almost like news.

A Million Little Fibers
Original air Date: 2006-04-19

Towelie gets over his drug addition and writes a moving book about his experiences. Thanks to Oprah’s support, the book becomes a best seller and his story inspires millions to turn their lives around. However, when he’s caught in a lie by the grand dame of daytime television, Towelie’s old habits start to look might appealing.

You took my job! *anger* (just kidding)

Should we get the obligatory [censored] post out of the way?

Once again Matt & Trey are forcing their pretentious "message" too much to be funny.
Is that about right?

I've never liked the Towelie episodes.

"You're a stupid towel!" - Cartman

"You're a towel!" - Towelie

How could you not like Towelie?

Besides, wasn't there just one Towelie-centric episode? His only other appearance that I can recall was when the boys had a contest to replace Kenny.

Yawn. Wake me when they do some creative again. They've been riding the coattails of that Elian Gonzales/current events thing for toooo long.

I love when they do current events. The Terri Schiavo episode was one of the bests, and the Hurricane Katrina episode was pretty darn good also.

The funniest current event one was that JLo/Ben Affleck one. That episode was hilarious from start to finish.

Towelie's debut is one of the funniest things ever. I'll never forget the first time I heard him say his line. I laughed so hard I thought I'd die.

He was also in the one where the boys go to Afghanistan, which was the episode right after the first Towelie episode.

"So am I to understand there's been a Towelie-ban?"

Cartman: "You're like the worst character EVER, Towlie."
Towlie: "I know."

I love Towlie! - "You wanna get high?"

Towelie: "That's it."
Kyle: "That's it?"
Towelie: "Yeah, that's the melody to Funky Town."

I wonder if we'll see Towlie jumping on Oprah's couch.

Did anyone else get in on the "I Love/Hate Towlie" tshirts that were available only during the initial airing of Towlies debut episode? I'll admit it, I got the "I Love Towlie" one, and still wear it to the gym sometimes.

Probably some more Cruise bashing. Maybe we'll even hear Towlie telling Oprah how he knows what these drugs do and that she's never researched them like he has.

This sounds more like that guy Oprah put on her Book Club only to have to bring him back to publicly sacrifice him over his lies so she'd save face for backing a liar.

This is by far the worst episode ever.
