"Out of Sight" CE...re-release 4/18!

I just saw Access Hollywood scroll this release as tomorrow, 4/18. Anyone know if this will be in stores because I have been dying for the CE? BB doesn't have it listed, either does DP/DE, but DDD does.

**edit**Apparently, it is coming out again tomorrow in case anyone is interested since the old is OOP.

Completely off the radar. Almost picked up the OOP version recently. Looks like the CE AND the dts are being re-released. Nifty.

Great film, this is in my top 20 all-time, what a cinematic gem it is. But this re-release is no big deal, it will be the same Out Of Sight that had been OOP for a little while. The DTS version is also being re-released as well. I can't believe a big deal is being made of this, only difference will be that the discs were probably "made in mexico" and there most likely won't be an insert.

You can go to pretty much any Blockbuster or Hollywood video and still find a new copy of the 1st pressing of OOS.

I saw this several weeks ago at amazon.com. It is also priced vey cheaply, at under $10.

i'm glad it is the same as that was an excellent release! for those that don't have and haven't seen in stores this is a very big, nice, unexpected deal.
glad, some are excited!

Great flick. Well worth picking up for the cheap price, IMO.

Helluva price at Amazon. I just ordered it with American President & Moonstruck DE for about $28.47 shipped (SSS).

Thank the lord! I was scared that Universal would ditch them, the inserts are nice and need to be there, I am so glad to hear that they did not scrap them.
This is at a good price, so if you do not own this yet, pick it up!

CE w/ extras or DTS? Is the dts track even worth it since this film relies such on dialogue?

yeah, and it's like a 4 page (both sides) fold out booklet at that, with production notes. very nice! and for $10 can't beat it!!

go with the CE...commentary, making of/interviews with cast featurette, deleted scenes, & trailer! i heard the DTS is very minute difference if any at all and you're right no good use for the DTS since it is all dialogue driven.

Let's not forget the great soundtrack, though.

Yeah, that is where having the DTS dvd will come in handy. For $10 a pop, buy both. hehe.

I thought Universal was gonna scrap the insert, making the OOP more purchase worthy, but it don't look that way now.

well, i don't think an insert matters really in the least. it is an excellent movie and release with or without. i would never in a million seek out the OOP just because on an insert.

Was the first pressing hard to find and worth money or something? I bought mine used at a local store for like 6.99 or something and there were several more copies.

They should use the original poster art... classic poster from the late 90's.

I have a copy inbound from Amazon along with the new version of American President. (Here's hoping AP is the anamorphic one).

Anyway, I seem to remember hearing about some copies of Out Of Sight going bad, like some of the other early Universal releases. I know this release is the same UPC, but I'm hoping that it's at least a new pressing.

I see that Amazon's raised the price. When I ordered it this morning with American President & Moonstruck DE it was $5.47 (63% off) & now it's gone up $2.50 to $7.97 (46% off, still a helluva good price). Even with SSS my order has already begun shipping process. It better be an anamorphic AP.

Damn straight, but the studios that be, Universal, would probably not use it. I guess it lacks commercial appeal to them, but to fans of Out Of Sight, that poster is the way to go. That image alone used as a slipcover would rule. I don't think they'd do it though, ever.
