According to the Semi-Blu Bits, Superman Returns is still going to happen on 11/28 (BD and HD DVD).

It's looking like Kong on 11/4 and Supes on 11/28....November is shaping up nicely.

In a press release issued late yesterday, the BDA revealed that Fox's initial Blu-ray wave will include such tasty titles as 'Fantastic Four,' 'Ice Age,' 'Behind Enemy Lines,' 'Kiss of the Dragon' and 'The League of Extraordinary Gentleman.'

More titles due to be announced soon include another Blu-ray batch from Buena Vista Home Entertainment by year's end, including 'Kill Bill Vol. 1,' 'Armageddon' and 'Ladder 49.'

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread but a lot of online stores have today as the release date of That's the Way of the World but none of them happen to have them in stock. Does anyone know if this was actually released today? I could really care less about the movie but I'm curious to see how it looks and sounds considering it's the first HD-DVD release from BCI. Does anyone know what sound options and video codec it uses? Also does any of the review sites have a review up?

I know so many questions but it's the only release scheduled for this week and I think I'm going through withdrawal

So, why is the M:I box so expensive? Isn't that over $20 a title even after amazon's regular + 10% HD discounts?

I think that the MSRP for MI:3 is pretty high, pulling the average up above $20. I'm assuming that day-and-date releases on HD-DVD from here on out are going to be $25+ (since most will be combos from the early release list), so I just assumed I was paying $25 for MI:3 and around $18 for the first 2. I'm not a huge fan of MI:2, but I couldn't pass up the set in HD.

Yep, your right...the MSRP for MI3 is $39.99.

Amazon has it by it self for $24.99 pre-order. Remember, its a 2 disc set unlike other new releases.

Personally, I dont find the boxset price to be outrageous. Ill be very curious to see the prices of the Star Trek and Superman boxsets though!!

They are now up to pre-order. No cover pictures available yet. I pre-ordered Lethal Weapon 2 and Space Cowboys. It's not yet applying the 10% off. I'm going to email Amazon to have them apply it.

I'm not sure how many of these have been mentioned before but Amazon has placeholders for the following:

Heat
King Kong (1933)
Natural Born Killers
A Christmas Story
Mutiny on the Bounty
Polar Express
Christmas Vacation
Robin Hood- Prince of Theives
Scooby Doo The Movie
the individual Superman movies
the individual Matrix movies
Singin In The Rain
Under Siege
True Romance
Corpse Bride
The Visiting
Oceans 12
The Goonies
The Exorcist
40 yo Virgin
Oceans 11
Eraser
Harry Potter & Prisoner/Sorcerer's stone
The Shining
Wizard of Oz
Clockwork Orange
Forbidden Planet
Dirty Dozen
Twister
Adventures of Robin Hood
Dirty Harry
Casablanca
Batman (1989)
2001
Eyes Wide Shut

And I have to say that there are quite a few in there that I'd snatch up

Seriously. I'm looking forward to getting some of these 'classic' titles like Casablanca, Robin Hood, Wizard of Oz, Forbidden Planet. Great stuff!

we're getting it. it's already been confirmed.

But as i stated on AVS, the Japanese SE for SD DVD is 2 discs instead of one. It will be interesting to see if the Japanese HD DVD will get those other extras as well.

Usually, when Japanese DVDs get exclusive supplements they consist of Japanese press conferences and little else.

Well...this is an entire DVD. I know it's interviews with the japanese stars...and that's all I've been able to confirm, thus far.
