Ok...so....qualms so far:

Why did they all only apply to ONE college? Talk about fake...people that rich and arrogant tend to apply to over ten colleges, at least the rich "smart" people at my high school did.

And also....the minute you get a LARGE envelope from a college means you got in, because it has ALL the info/brochures and stuff. And Seth getting a LARGE envelope with a rejection letter is not common. And I'm sure he'll petition for admittance and get it, cuz he's rich and his dad is Sandy Cohen who grew up in the East and has friends back there who can pull some strings.

Tsk, OC, tsk.

This is ridiculous. Any normal parent would've wanted to see the acceptance letter.

Summer: "Remember that movie about the gay guys on the mountain?"

Marissa: "The Lord of the Rings?"

Summer: "Yeah"

It'll be interesting to see how this ends. I remember at the beginning of the season they said someone would be leaving, and could that someone be Summer? Could Seth go to Berkeley last minute due to Sandy pulling some weight around?

I for one would be VERY sad to see Summer go, but that would leave opening for Taylor to join the cast, just like the producers said she would if the show gets picked up; so it makes sense.

And Sadie leaving typical OC style....such BS this show pulls sometimes! I REALLY liked her, and even more crazy was the fact that I REALLY liked her and Ryan together. Sigh.

With all the fakeness, it was kind of a good episode.

Did anybody else catch the free ringback tones message at the end? I thought it said to text "OC" to "3339" (Verizon Wireless), but i haven't gotten anything back yet.

Sadie leaving wasn't exactly a shocker since Nikki Reed was signed for 6 episodes. Honestly though, her exit would've made a lot more sense last week given the circumstances. I swear if Ryan and Marissa reunite before the season ends, I'm done with this show.

I agree that the way everyone got their letters on the same day, only applied to one school, and didn't even find out if they were accepted until early April(WHAT?!) was pretty lame. Couldn't the writers have planned it out any better than this?

Taylor was once again a breath of fresh air. If this show makes it to a Season 4, please God get rid of Marissa(which could happen given her rumored onset behavior) and replace her with Autumn Reeser. She makes even the crappy episodes watchable. And find an excuse to put her in a bikini. It's California. It shouldn't be that difficult.

Seth and Summer breaking up won't last, that's obvious. But at least now there seems to be an opening for the return of Anna Stern(if that rumor is true).

And yes, that Lord of the Rings line was classic.

Radiohead's unreleased song Fog played when the show ended. Amazing song, I cannot believe it was on the show. It was also the first time I have ever heard the studio version.

I thought Seth did the honorable thing.

Going to Brown would be a great opportunity for Summer, and for him to try to make that happen, in spite of his desires, is actually a fairly mature way to behave, although he did go about it like a wussy baby.

Isn't there a UCOC for them to all go to?

I hope if there is a fictional university they all end up at, that's not the abreviation.

I thought the music throughout the ep was great, but what capped it all off was the closing song - thanks for letting me know what it was.

I'm sad Sadie left, but you know that the guest stars never last, particularly the good ones.

Taylor's turnaround has been almost enjoyable as Luke's.

This whole Summer/Seth drama just seems so forced.

Sandy is deluded, so Kirsten should definitely start drinking again to bring him out of his haze.
