Starting tomorrow Best Buy will have a display rack in stores that will have "Buy 1 Special Edition DVD, get 1 FREE $17.99 each" on it. It should be set tomorrow (4/2), but if last time this was done is any indication it may not get done right away. The deal will run until April 29th.

I had similar issues.

I went to the checkout counter with:

Giant
East of Eden
Rebel Without a Cause
Mission
Robin Hood Prince of Thieves
Wyatt Earp

I had the most interest in the first four, but when they rung up, I only got the B1G1 discount on one title. The cashier was nice, and patient. We tried separate transactions and I got Rebel Without a Cause and Wyatt Earp B1G1, but the others didn't work. Sadly, Wyatt Earp is probably the one I wanted the least... tacked on just to make an even number.

The Best Buy here in Salem, OR had the titles in a stand, but no sign to go with them. I asked a clerk if they were B1G1 free and he laughed at me and said no.

I took Lost Boys and Unforgiven to the register and checked out. The lady said the total was 35.98. I thought that was odd because they are both stickered at 24.99. then about 15 seconds later the message came on her screen that they are B1G1 free, for 17.99. That was when the dvd guy came by the register and was saying he didn't know and "it's not in the flyer". They then asked how i knew. and thats when i felt like a Uber-geek....and said the internet.

so if they dont have signs for them they are probably still in the system or will be my monday.

After working with the Cashier, I was able to get The Big Red One, Boogie Nights, JFK and Magnolia. No luck on East of Eden, Rebel Without a Cause, or the Mission.
